56cm Raleigh Team USA Frameset , fully lugged - $175 (cambridge, central square)

Date: 2010-05-05, 11:06AM EDT
Reply to: sale-qp7vt-1725611922@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

Raleigh Team USA frameset for sale. Headset, Seatpost, fork all included. 56 cm top tube, 58 cm seat tube.

Unique and beautiful red, white and blue (with stars!) paint job. Rare frameset.

Made out of raleigh 555sl tubing, fully lugged frame construction. Horizontal dropouts for a fixed gear conversion, or build it up with gears.
Frame condition 7 or 8/10. Some chips and scratches in the paint. One of the top tube housing guides is missing- to get around this you can zip tie the housing to the top tube or you can get a stick on housing guide.

If you are reading this then the item is still available.

Steyr Clubman road bike. 55cm frame, 56cm top tube, 32" standover height. 10 speeds. Austrian bike from the late 60s/early 70s. In good shape, recently tuned, so it stops and shifts well and rides smoothly. Semi-horizontal dropouts, nice lugs with windows, cool bike. Call 977-9182 if interested.

23" Men's all-original Raleigh Sports (with B72 saddle) is going for $20 for local pickup in Stephenson, VA -- 4 hours left.

I'd definitely do a last minute lowball on that one if I was anywhere close to it.

Raleigh Men's three speed, $25, in Columbus, OH.

Men's Vintage RALEIGH commuter bicycle3-speed w rack, light holder and bell
It needs an inner tube, it filled up but I broke off the stem taking the pump off.
Fair to Good condition, but don't know if the gears shift well or not.
Seat has a small star shaped cut on it.
$25! cheap bike that needs some tlc.
If you want me to fix the inner tube and replace the seat, the bike will cost $39
330-347-4682

It has a rack, too!

Nishiki NFS Alpha- $450

Nishiki NFS alpha - 650c, 54cm (feels a little smaller because of the 650c wheels)
Ultegra 600 groupo (cranks, derailleurs, brakes, levers, shifters)
Dura Ace rear wheel
Sante front wheel (between Ultegra and Dura Ace)
San Marco Regal Giraldi saddle
Specialized Fat Boy tires (quick but tough)

All parts are in great shape and very clean. No rust, dents. The only major cosmetic issues is some wear&tear on the saddle (though it still has good life left in it). The previous owner did cut some bar-tape off to install aero-bars. I put a few stickers on that I can easily remove for you if you want (but you may like them, so I'm leaving them on for now).

This is a very quick and very light bike, but still pretty tough. The tires are great for city streets, making this a perfect get-around bike for any city. I've been riding it around town for a few months, but I'm moving now and will only be keeping a CX bike.

The price is firm for now because I could probably sell the bike for even more if I went to Williamsburg for the weekend. Feel free to make an offer though.

Seller will either relist the item or try and sell it elsewhere. Sometimes they set high reserves because they expect bidding wars to ensue.

In my opinion it's always a good idea to send the seller a message and see if you can work something out.

I've seen a few people post these English 3 speeds (same goes for those Flying Pigeon's) here on the finds thread in the past. What gives? Why are they so special/desirable? I'm not knocking them, just curious...

Vintage Trek 560 Racing Series 10 Speed - $375 (West Roxbury)

Date: 2010-05-05, 8:53PM EDT
Reply to: sale-jerde-1726649626@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

Your chance to own a piece of history.

This is an amazing Trek 560 (circa 1984) with black and red accents. Pro level bike way back when Trek was still hand-building with steel in Wisconsin (Made in America). Black finish is in great shape considering it's +25 years old. I did the bar tape, brake pads, tires (Bontrager Racing tires) & tubes last year. This bike DOES need a rear tube! Here's a link to the original Trek Racing Catalog from 1984. The 560 is located on page 6:

https://www.vintage-trek.com/TrekBrochure1984Racing.htm

Here are some more specs:

Frame size (my measurements): 22.5" from crank to top of seat tube. 23.5" top tube (would be ideal from someone 5'6"-5'10")

Reynolds 501 double butted tubbing (super light and very fast!)

Black Dia Compe AC500 brakes mated to AC250G levers

Beautiful (and mean looking!) French Belleri bars

SunTour MII front and read derailleurs and DT shift levers

Mallard hubs laced to Matrix Strada black rims

Email me with questions. Cash & pick-up only. Located in West Roxbury near Center St.

It's a Nashbar Japanese road bike - very fast and light. It's tuned and very clean.

The fully lugged frame is made of Ishiwata triple-butted chrome moly steel tubing.

12 speeds, shifters on the down tube. Sakae SX crank, Nitto bar and stem.

Continental tires on Araya rims. $200 cash.
