I'll leave this post here, but I bought this myself after posting. Seller agreed to drop off to a local bike shop, who agreed to pack and ship.

Raleigh Competition, late 60s or early 70s, I'd guess 58-60 cm CTT; has R531 "Frame Tubes" decal, and Nervex lugs. Long chainstays. Looks like it has Normandy Competition hubs, TA 3-arm crank, Weinmann centerpulls, Huret FD, Shimano 600 RD. May have Huret RD hanger -- just sayin'. Biggest problem: location is Buckeye, AZ, and listing says local pickup only. I'd buy it myself if I could get it shipped.

There is a "Vintage Peugeot" listed on the Colorado Springs Craigslist for a 100 bucks. I don't know if I can post links or photos yet, but if there is Peugeot fan who wants to look at it do a search for "Vintage Peugeot".

For anyone interested in this bike, I can add that it's probably about a 1974, identical to a frame I have that Holdsworth (factory, I believe, not shop) built for Harding. It's the lightest of 4 1970s R531 frames I own: Jeunet (next), Bob Jackson, and Raleigh International. And the build quality is very nice, too. Plus, this one appears to have all the original kit. It is overpriced, though; would need to bring seller down to reality.

I offered it to my wife and she passed.

She's been down the Terry fit road before, many years ago.

In addition, she has had a half dozen tri bikes since and this one doesn't hit the mark for modern day tri folks.

Maybe a trip down memory lane for someone?

TREK 022 vintage road bike - $110 (Richfield)

I can't believe I've beaten Clang to this one!

If I hadn't just blown my budget on that Sequoia, I would be all over this:TREK 022 vintage road bike - $110 (Richfield)

Of course the "022" refers to the Ishiwata tubing decal on the seat tube. Does anyone here know what the real model number/name is?

Hmm, pre-fastback, above the BB cabling, and the panels all suggest an '82 or '83. Ishy 022 on the frame only and not the fork means it's a lower-end model, a 4xx perhaps. Hmm, the '82 and '83 catalogs seem to indicate all models had top-tube braze-ons for the cable housings. Those clips might mean it goes back to '81.

I think the lettering on the fork blades is in-service bling. Never seen that before on a Trek of that era.

Serial number would be the most telling.
