1983 Specialized StumpJumper -- $150, Seattle WA area, lugged frame, original components.
"1983 Specialized Stumpjumper"
make:Specialized
model: Stumpjumper
condition: good
This is an early Specialized Stumpjumper, strong as an ox! If you want to be a part of early Stumpjumper history, my friends and I were some of the early riders of mountain bikes in the LA area and we were stoked to have these awesome bikes. This one is made in Japan with great quality frame that will last another 50 years! It's a bit smaller frame 19"? Of course, these old Stumpjumpers don't have the new suspension and they are heavier as well, but much better to get one of these cool strong bikes for knocking around with, or for your kids, than some of these newer cheaper bikes. Original components.

Holy Front-Center, Batman!!! Super long wheelbase, too. Proportion is a bit gawky, IMO, so even if the price is very nice (for a hand-made custom frame?!? Killer!), I'm not super digging the look. Vanity, RoS........ Great bike nevertheless.

I have never heard of the builder but anything made in the USA interests me. The internal cable routing is a nice touch. I wonder how long that top tube is? I am not a big fan of red bikes, but at that price.....hmmm.

Likely, a very nice frameset if it fits you.

His attention to detail was top shelf.

Saw this one at a local race a few years ago and I'd likely snap one up if it became available in my size.

If I had not just picked up a Medici project I would have already contacted the seller. My size and American made don't come along often.

Tim was a meticulous builder. I worked for him in River Falls WI in 1978-1980. He and I built a frame for my use. it was a lot of hard work, and I loved that bike... stolen from my parents garage. He was one of the first builders in the US (so the story goes) to be certified by Reynolds for 753 builds. If it fits, BUY IT!

Vintage specialized rockhopper comp - $120

Vintage specialized rockhopper comp. All original. Yes all. I have the pedals also (metal mks). Very nice all deore .specialized rims.this is the tri color. Very collectible. Im Not the guy who wipes it down with rag and asks 200. I prefer a light coat of dust preserving it in storage. The price is 120. And it is firm. Please you will be wasting both of our time if you want for less. However you are welcome to look with no pressure to buy. If you want an idea on size. As the bike is in pic. I would lower seat about an inch and I am 6 1"

No seatpost clamp.... probably means PGN-10. Those seatposts are a bit fiddly but its a nice bike!! Looks like a rare color...
