Yup, definitely one of those caveat emptor situations, tread carefully.

This Masi Criterium for $450 in Portland has a lot of potential...

I have one of these, won the first race I ever entered on it. Davis Phinney designed the frame, awesome speed and handling. Rough ride though, my personal comfort limit on this bike is about 90 minutes, and I would replace the fork with a carbon one.

This mixte frame is so purty, I would pick it up in a sec if I lived closer. I would build this up for my wife, but apparently she already owns a bicycle Would make a gorgeous single speed or amped up retro build IMO.

I bought a Passage frameset from the guy selling this. That frameset had issues but he was super up front about them and was just overall a great guy to deal with.

Miyata 1000LT Road Bike - $295 (ASHLAND)

bicycle type: road
brake type: cantilever
condition: excellent
frame size: Full size adult frame
make / manufacturer: Miyata
model name / number: 1000LT
wheel size: 700C

Miyata 1000LT Road Bike. This is a beautiful emerald green 21 speed (3x7) road bike in good/excellent condition. Has not been used for a few years; has always been garage stored. Tires are Continental Ultra Sport 28x700mm. They hold air, and seem OK, but are several years old. Bike has a language rack on back. Gear shifters work well

This bike has been only moderately used, but my age has made the handlebar style uncomfortable. Asking $295.

Trek Road Bike - $140

"I am selling a men's trek road bike. The bike is used but in good condition. This is an old school bicycle. It's 100% working. 12 speed. All aluminum components. SunTour Vx. This is a nice bicycle. Rides smooth.

Let me know if you have any questions. Text 704-241-7099"

https://charlotte.craigslist.org/bik...672129104.html

(I texted the seller for the serial number.

Without prompting, he wrote: "If you want the bike I can let it go for $100. It's not being used so I just want it gone." It's sadly too far for me to retrieve at the moment, though my size.)

I live about ten minutes away and would be willing to help in order to build up some karma points for the time when a 1000LT in my size shows up. If this one were in my size it would be gone already. You should contact the seller and see if s/he wants to deal with this scenario.

Is there a size listed? If its between a 56-60 I can ride it comfortably but 55 and under is too small. To me this looks like a 57cm but I could be wrong?

If anyone near Philly is looking for a Rudge frame (don't think there is much else that is original) with only an offer price, here it is. Edit looks like it may be in Newark DE. and it has the "Red Hand of Ulster" chainring.

That is because it is not in Portland, it is 10 hours south in Stockton CA. I went to Sacramento's Craigslist and did not find it when I searched for Masi, so I think it is just a forgotten ad that is still up.

I would be very careful paying for a bike to be shipped from a CL ad like that. If there's any way to have somebody local check it out in person, it would be a lot less risky.
