This is a smooth riding steel frame bike, in good condition. New chain a year ago, continental tires, cargo rack.

1959 Schwinn Paramount - $1500 or best offer
To me it looks like it's a bit newer, but I'm not a Paramount expert, especially with pre-boom examples. The SN checks out to the owner, who has had it for apparently 35 years. It has a few newer pieces on it, but looks clean and straight. Perhaps that price is as low as it is because the components are Dia Compe and Sugino and not Campagnolo or classic "Schwinn Approved."

You and me (to a pretty good extent) both! There's also that guy selling his all-chrome '73 P13 for $1600 up here, well, Centralia. That one I think has been featured here as well. 25" frame, Stronglight 93 crankset, semi-random assortment of decent pieces.

For the more budget-minded tall folks, we have a now-even-lower-priced 64cm Gitane Professional Tour de France. Full double-butted 531, and from my research, a proper 531 frame and geometry, differing from the Super Corsa only in componentry (someone correct me here, but I'm fairly confident from what I've understood). So really, a lovely thing. Bahhhh, I should just pick it up and restore it. Gonna run out of room though!

The other two are very optimistically priced but they are what they are, and they are our size.

MIELE Tournet model road bike, early 1990s, chromoly lugged steel (Tange Infinity seamless double-butted tubing made in Japan). Bike made in Canada.
Aluminum: 700c wheels (polished Al rims by Ambrosio), seatpost, 1" quill stem, bars, brakes. Groupset is Shimano Exage Motion, indexed downtube shifters, 6-speed freewheel (x2 front rings). 25mm tires. Seat is a replacement.
Everything works well & overall great shape. Frame has some paint scratches & chips, no rust. Ride it away!
Size is for approx 5'6" to 6 ft.
{2 minor issues:
1. the pedals are nice- (LOOK Arc model pedals, to clip into shoes with Look cleats on them), but they are stuck on. Need to take to a bike shop with proper long, thin pedal wrench to get off if you don't have Look shoes. They'll prob charge you $10.
2. Tires are old, can be ridden now, but may want to get new ones. **
$140 cash. Sold as-is. Please leave name, phone # that actually works! (I will call you before proceeding), and email address or I won't respond due to spam. If ad is up, it's not sold yet.

For sale from a bike flipper here in Brooklyn, NY. Not a steal like so many other bikes posted here (oy, that 3Rensho with the Merlin . . .), but I thought it was cool that someone took the trouble to color-coordinate this Trek with old Cannondale touring bags.

So it goes.

The racks and bags are a big chunk of the asking price, so you could probably sell that stuff off and come out with a reasonably priced 520.

There’s been a few occasions where I’ve noticed a forum member looking for a talker than average bike or frame. So I though I’d leave this here...

I'm glad I don't have $450 and room for another bike.
The price is not great, but I'm posting this mostly because i had never seen a Raleigh Comp from the "Technium Era" before, I didn't know they even existed:

This is a Panasonic PT3500 Road Touring Bike with a 19.5" Tang 1000 (Cromo) frame and a 30" stand over. It's Shimano 21 speed with Indexed down tube shift, alloy quick release wheels, New Road/Tour Tires with Kevlar belt, water bottle holder, Comfort touring saddle, Trip computer with Cadence Counter, rear rack that will accept side bags, fully lugged for mounting additional racks. A great Touring ride with gearing and brakes that make easy work of big hills and heavy loads. In excellent condition and ready to ride.

I've noticed several folks on the forums expressing a desire for the black&gray variant of the Prologue, so here you go. 57cm, looks in decent shape but a mix of components. No bids and maybe (or maybe not) a tad steep at $379 with less than 24hrs remaining.

Wow, there's a poster looking for a front wheel for one of these and she could buy this bike for less than a complete new wheel would cost!
