That would be my interpretation. One or more pedal dustcaps probably missing, I'd bet.

Intrigued by the fact it has tubular rims and "spare tires". Does seller mean it is set up now for tubular and are the spares tubulars as well? If so wouldn't be a bad price....

OK that is cool. I just talked myself out of it noting that my basement ceiling is only about 8 ft high. Only other issue is bikes bumping up against each other when getting raised and lowered.

I actually could use it, both in the space required and how much it would free up for me in the rest of the shop. The tallest open (and currently wasted) space in the garage is over ten feet and it would get the bikes out of the way. Install it on the other side of the stud wall pictured and parallel to it, about where those yellow hooks are. We had a similar setup (non-lifting) at a shop I worked in and we separated the bikes with sheets of cardboard cut from bike boxes and that minimized contact. Keep in mind that the garage currently does not resemble this barren interior scene; it is absolutely crammed full of crap.

Grand Record? Grand Jubile? Those 70's Motos are beautifully made and finished, with PAINTED graphics (the only decals are for the tubing)! Too bad their geometry doesn't work well for me...

Almost didn't post this because I want it, but it's a 300 mile trip and I have too many bikes. Sounds like he would be open to some haggling. Looks almost totally original.

Good 'ol Shogun 600. Pretty bike, and of course a nice groupset. It's right by the both of us (and it's my size, too). I find it humorous that 600 Arabesque is on a middle of the road frame (per their lineup from what I could tell, IIRC) and people shrug it off, but Trek in 1981 was more than happy to adorn their full double-butted 531 tubed 710 with it. I like the stuff, which is why I have that Trek (well that and it was a $150 buy that polished up beautifully).

I hate to reply to the message I just posted, but the message edit isn't working. (Can I go back to the old interface?) The shop appears to have multiple bikes, all 62cm or larger.

Can't be. We live in the digital age and these kids of things don't happen anymore.
