18 speed. Great bike, but hasn't been ridden in several years since I got a mountain bike. Crankshaft needs grease, but otherwise the bike is in great condition.

As I am one person among many distinguished that own a Paramount of this vintage (I have a '74), it looks to be a 25" frame (CTT). Great bike in a lovely color. Needs a full going through. Eclectic mix of components, but certainly worthy of original paint restoration, if "hot-rodding" as I have done with my '74 P15.

For sale is a 58cm Cinelli Equipe in used condition. Cinelli made about 150 of these in Italy in 1984 for Centurion. They were sold in the US as Centurion Equipe but the project fell out after the first run. Columbus SL and SP tubing with Cinelli pantographed seatstay brace, bb shell, seatstay tips, and fork crown. Campagnolo dropouts. Crome on headtube lugs has some pitting, as do the fork blades( This bike spent some time near the coast). It was repainted by an auto shop at some point. With a fresh coat of paint and some Cinelli decals this would be a great looking bike! Supercorsa on a budget. Feel free to email, call, or text 858-3three5-9nine36

Hmmm, it has all the cable stops, and derailleur hanger. So, it could well be a Paramount that could be resurrected.

Frame is probably worth more than the $200 asking price.

[The Schwinn enthusiast and internet sleuth in me goes on the hunt...] Those head lugs were specific to the Voyageur 11.8 and Super Le Tour 12.2--signifiers of two models and a short era in Schwinn history. A rare and special occurrence of non-Paramount Schwinns being available in chrome (for $50 extra!). These also have the non-standard 21.0mm quill stem diameter instead of the usual 22.2mm spec--that's the only bummer about them from a retro-mod standpoint. I had a SLT 12.2 that had them and always liked the look. Seat stay to seat tube intersection is at the same point as a Voyageur 11.8, as is the fork crown shape (where it meets the fork blade. The head badge is also plebeian, denoting a lesser-than-a-Paramount status. A touch short (for a P15-9) on the chain stays given the fender eyelets, and no P13-9 would have had them. SLTs were a smidge shorter than that. So while it isn't likely a Paramount, as a Voyageur 11.8, it's still a very nice Japanese Schwinn that is sought after. Still worth the $200 asking price if you ask me. It's a bit of a project if you want to get it back to original, but the bones look good and all the braze-ons are there. Heck, you could have extra ones put on if you were planning on repainting it any way!

Well, maybe thank you. I really don't need any more project bikes. Somehow I hadn't seen that bike show up.

Last night I started thinking a Paramount frame might be a fun restoration project for $200. But, when I got home, I started noticing that all Paramounts of that era had the Nervex Pro lugs, or so it seemed. I was about to start a new thread asking what it was.

I've been staring at the HT a bit. Frankly I can't tell. The fork is probably restorable if bent. The HT would be more of a hassle to deal with.

Many frames had steeper HT angles when getting up to 60cm or so. I assume that frame is closer to 58. But, the angles do seem slightly steeper than other bikes I'm seeing on the internet.

The fork crown may help narrow the bike down a bit more. Looking at the crowns on the internet, many of the Super Le Tour and Voyager bikes have a spike shaped fork crown. This has the inverted U, marked as an 81.

Voyageur 11.8s got steep as they went taller, like the SLT 12.2s (I had a 1977 25" in all chrome). Fork does not look bent--angle is as normal as any number of steel frames we've seen. Fork crown matches, as do the head lugs. The SLTs had a center point crown lug/blade interface. The headbadge matches my former SLT 12.2 for the era, and the head lugs are only for these two bikes during this time--this must be realized. Not a lot makes 'mainstream sense' in Schwinn land regarding these two models. The very late '70s into the very early '80s saw some interesting and short-lived offerings and other events for Schwinn. The 11.8s and 12.2s were some of them.

This appears to have the original headbadge, not a Paramount, lugs are very interesting and may predate Nervex pro, my 58 has Nervex, but not pro.

We need the s/n and for @T-Mar, @Metacortex, etc. to weigh in. Even if not a Pmount, this could be something special.
