If only that Eisentraut had 54 cm ST and 55 cm TT. I've gotten more discriminating in my old age. Don

Yipes!
Another one that would be sold by now if it fit me. Given the current state of my finances I suppose I should be grateful that these classic North American bikes are too small...

Lots of cool stuff in the Milwaukee area lately:

Super cherry UO-8 in a big size. This is seriously tempting as I've never owned anything French, I'm glad it's so far away from me.

1970s Peugeot U08 10-Speed - $150 (Jackson, WI)

"All original except wheels and tires
Leather saddle
25" frame
Simplex derailleurs
Bike is in showroom condition
Ready to ride"

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pretty 1x5 city bike with a nice shiny chainguard!

Vintage St Entienne Hand Made 5 Speed - $200 (Tosa)

"Beautiful like new 22.5" frame recently overhauled piece of vintage art. Repacked hubs and BB. New cables and housings. Upgraded tires. 70's era originally purchased at Ware's Cyclery. Original hand grips included."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Super clean all-original Tempo in my favorite colorway

Schwinn Tempo! - $180 (Kenosha)

"For sale is an excellent condition 1987 Schwinn Tempo (teal and white colorway) 25" or 63cm Columbus tubing Shimano 105 equipped time capsule!

This bike is all original, and has been stored well and taken care of. Still has original schwinn branded tires and ribbon bar tape!

Paint is in great shape. Shifts and brakes well. A good clean and polish and you will have a great ride. Research these Tenax Schwinn's from the mid to late 80's. They are well regarded and a superb value. Look on eBay or CL to see the value of this bike in this condition. This bike, per the catalog is listed around 22lbs.

I live and can meet you in Kenosha. Cash only. No bartering or low ball offers, price as listed. Email or text to schedule a time to talk or see bike. $180 offer only good through Monday October 15th.

Help me fund my other bike project! Thanks for looking!"

[QUOTE=Piff;20683657]1972 Schwinn Super Sport in mint condition, 24" frame

That’s what I has as my first road bike 30 years ago. Saw it in the garage of a guys house who I cut grass for, had to do yard work for a month to get it. Man I want that!

If it were my size

Miyata 1000 LT - $265

https://bellingham.craigslist.org/bi...760897790.html

Miyata 1000LT bike - excellent condition

For those who don't know, this high-quality chromo tubing is triple-butted and splined for light weight and high strength. The welding is flawless - as though the lugs and tubes grew as one piece. The color is a unique champagne metallic.

I had our local bike shop perform a "frame off" restoration which included cleaning and treating the inside walls of the tubing. this bike is extremely clean.

Specs

Tubing: All Chrome/Moly Spline, triple butted main tubes, splined stays and forks - very light and very strong.
Shimano Deore DX rear and front derailleurs
Shimano 600 brakes
Foam padded handlebar wrap with "B" plugs - excellent shape.
Wilderness Trail SST seat - excellent shape
Infinity 700 x 35C tires with Armadillo technology - new except for one STP ride (200 mi.)
Braze-ons: front/rear panniers, pump holder (not shown but included), (2) water cages or other.
Blackburn rear cage.

Yes, that is a nice one but by the looks of the bar wrap Chain rings those 4 rides must have been very long ones.

More Than Meets The Eye?

Panasonic DX-3000 (Vintage) - $225

"Are you into vintage bikes? Are you into the new Transformer movie called Bumble Bee? Then this bike is for you! This bike is in excellent condition, and it hasn't been ridden in over 25 years. I bought this at the Bike Gallery on Park Rd. in 1987. I've just been holding onto it, but now I'm moving so it's time to find it a new home. I'm not exactly sure of the frame size, so I put Medium. I'm 5'7"."
