Vintage 1983 Fuji Touring Series IV Bicycle - $135 (Boxford)

18 speed. Great bike, but hasn't been ridden in several years since I got a mountain bike. Crankshaft needs grease, but otherwise the bike is in great condition.

Tires: 26 inches
Top Tube (C-C): 22 inches
Seat Tube (C-T): 21 inches

Fuji manufactured this bike for four years between 1983 and 1987. All four model years can be seen at Touring Series IV

This 1984 model is for sale on eBay for $499: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-198...8AAOSw8TBZdRMU

At $135 you can't go wrong!

Starting bid at $350. I don't understand why nobody is bidding here. It has already gone thru a cycle. I wish it were my size.

Reckon most viewers don't recognize the framebuilder. Then they look at the Heinz 57 gruppo, and move on.

The reason it hasn't sold is because it's too small for me. Sigh.

Certainly a household name around here, but ask the man on the street, and he'll think maybe a dead physicist, or photographer, or maybe some dude from an old TV show.

BTW, are new posts acting hinky for anyone else? I'll load a thread, read what appears to be the most recent post, post a reply, and suddenly there are new posts in between. And not just a minute or so in between. It's like sometimes it doesn't display new posts for several (i.e. 30-ish) minutes.

Dude who deals mostly in '80s Treks, Panasonics, etc., sells in Chi/Mad. This one's esp. cool, the dawn of the ATB/MTB era. Dig the bull moose bar and the block-long rear triangle.

Pretty neat all rounder Cannondale XS800. Rebuilt Headshock. Could see this updated to modern CF components 1 X and lightened wheelset.

Yipes!
Another one that would be sold by now if it fit me. Given the current state of my finances I suppose I should be grateful that these classic North American bikes are too small...

Lots of cool stuff in the Milwaukee area lately:

Super cherry UO-8 in a big size. This is seriously tempting as I've never owned anything French, I'm glad it's so far away from me.

1970s Peugeot U08 10-Speed - $150 (Jackson, WI)

"All original except wheels and tires
Leather saddle
25" frame
Simplex derailleurs
Bike is in showroom condition
Ready to ride"

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pretty 1x5 city bike with a nice shiny chainguard!

Vintage St Entienne Hand Made 5 Speed - $200 (Tosa)

"Beautiful like new 22.5" frame recently overhauled piece of vintage art. Repacked hubs and BB. New cables and housings. Upgraded tires. 70's era originally purchased at Ware's Cyclery. Original hand grips included."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Super clean all-original Tempo in my favorite colorway

Schwinn Tempo! - $180 (Kenosha)

"For sale is an excellent condition 1987 Schwinn Tempo (teal and white colorway) 25" or 63cm Columbus tubing Shimano 105 equipped time capsule!

This bike is all original, and has been stored well and taken care of. Still has original schwinn branded tires and ribbon bar tape!

Paint is in great shape. Shifts and brakes well. A good clean and polish and you will have a great ride. Research these Tenax Schwinn's from the mid to late 80's. They are well regarded and a superb value. Look on eBay or CL to see the value of this bike in this condition. This bike, per the catalog is listed around 22lbs.

I live and can meet you in Kenosha. Cash only. No bartering or low ball offers, price as listed. Email or text to schedule a time to talk or see bike. $180 offer only good through Monday October 15th.

Help me fund my other bike project! Thanks for looking!"
