$300 58cm Ironman Professional.
If I had time to disassemble before I leave back for Hawaii tomorrow, I would.

Here's a 1964 Paramount for a decent BIN price of $500. It's small and needs some work but it could be a deal for someone. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1960-Paramo...Jijr:rk:3:pf:0

58cm 1960s Frejus Tour de France (at least that's how it's advertised). Seems odd that it appears to have stamped dropouts.

It is rather eye catching, and $108 seems like a great deal but pushing 357 with BIN and shipping seems steep

Totally agree about the pricing when you add in the shipping. I was hoping someone local could grab it. Shipping sucks
So it goes.

Couple of PX-10's (?) in Hot Springs AR, $200 each. A little too far away for me to go check with my schedule this weekend - and not really tempted, I'm saturated as is.

Trek 520 - 1983 - VGC - N. Carolina - $300
Nice vintage touring bike in VGC - mostly original parts - not sure about the wheels - Reynolds 501 triangle - half step chainring set-up w/ decent hill-climbing gears as-is
Orig. brochure: https://www.vintage-trek.com/images/t...churePart1.pdf
Fenders have been installed - clearance might be a little tight with the existing wheels.
medium size - 21" frame - ?
The 1983 model has caliper brakes - which IMO is a good thing as a 650b conversion is possible.
A fair deal for $300

I've noticed the value on those early Treks plummet. They sit around at $100 around here

This guy has a 62cm Miyata for $150. He's advertising it as a Koga Miyata, but potential buyers should ask for confirmation of that. It would seem not to be original, as (like my Schwinn Super Sport), the rear brake caliper and the top tube cable stops don't agree about the correct side of the center line they should be. Still, might be a decent deal...

that 520 has been for sale for several months. ^^^^^ started at $450 or $500 if I remember correctly
it's been LAST CALL for about at least a month. what happens after last call, does it get scrapped?
on the other hand, i will probably be in the Hickory area sometime in the next week or two and could facilitate.

Also, my perspective on bike 'value' is a bit different than some BF members. I'm not a flipper and am willing to spend a few bucks to buy/try certain bikes. If the bike is not for me I might loose some $ re-selling, but at least I got to own the bike. I'm not made of money, I paid $500 for a pair of ski boots last year - so $300 for a VGC classic bike sounds reasonable!
This particular 520 is too small for me and I already have a 620 that I'm re-habbing. Now if a 720 with the 47cm chainstays were available for a fair price I'd think pretty hard about that.

Almost Wacky
Lotus Road Bike - $185

"58 cm Tange steel butted tubed road bike with shimano 600 group set. Downtube shifting 9 speed
Good tires, clean bike with normal wear.
Willing to listen logical offers
Text or call Seven-70-three77*eight•3six8
bicycle type: road
condition: good
frame size: 58 CM
make / manufacturer: Lotus Classique
wheel size: 700C "
https://charlotte.craigslist.org/bik...782877962.html
(Despite the unconventional brake cable routing, and that it appears more a 64cm than 58, it's still a fine example at a Spockish "more logical" price point.)
Bikes are okay, I guess.

Yeah, it's big and someone tried to aero-ize it. Nice bike, though, and a great price.
