This bike looks like brand new with no scratches in the paint and only slight marks in the adhesive RB1 sticker. In a 56cm this bike weighed 22.5 pounds and in a smaller size and the rim upgrade this bike is even lighter. The frame is 022E Ishiwata seamless heavily butted tubing. This was equivalent or better than any Reynolds or Columbus tubing available.

I emailed the seller some measuring pointers to find out the frame size. Looks like a 59 or 60.
But mostly to see if he'll sell me the saddle.

Looking very nice paint-wise, minus the mismatched wheels, another SR circa 1987/1988. Likely a 58cm or so. $300.

According to catalogs, it's a 1986 SR500.
Road/race models have always been in cm increments. Touring models (ATB/MTB too) have always been in inch increments. Weird but that's just how they did it, at least for a while (into the '90s).
