Spot on, 1985 was the first year for race models. Man, I am a hopeless Cannondale fan. I may not be a self-proclaimed "Dr. Cannondale" but with the number of ones I've owned and continued "education" (fandom..), I suppose I'm in the middle of graduate studies....

From the catalogs, 1983 was ST only. 1984 was ST and ATBs. 1985 was ST, ATB, and SR.

I've Been Holding Out On You All With This One...

A stupendously low price for a very workable 1985 Trek 620. The add only goes as far to say it's a 600 series, which is what it says on the top tube. A couple of dents in the top tube and some rust spots due to paint being scraped away. This is a very serviceable very nice frame that, after some sanding the rust away, touch-up paint, a good cleaning, and good waxing of the paint, will have a stunner of a touring bike. It's a 25.5 / 65cm size, so one's gotta be pretty tall (like me, of course...). Only $65 with a spec'd $55 for shipping from this non-profit / charity bike shop.

Only single photo, but from blue sticker at the bottom of seat tube, it should be tange #1 . Too big for me.

Hard to say what's worse, that it's been hacked into a single, that he completely fails to mention it, or that he's still calling it a "road bike". It's a $50-ish frame with bike boom brakes. Brooks might make it worth $100.

Seller should consider excluding his (using the term loosely) taste in (using the term loosely) art from his listing pics......

1973 Schwinn Paramount P10 in Tacoma. The seller is an elderly man who no longer rides and is looking to sell it to someone who will enjoy it. It comes with an extra set of wheels w/ Phil Wood hubs. He seems willing to negotiate some on the price.

WOW! I wish I could get my hands on that. I'd love another Alpha 5000 group and that one looks unused.

This looks nice, Columbus EL, $750 https://phoenix.craigslist.org/cph/b...800617600.html

Goofy stem aside, yes me of all people is calling someone's stem goofy, this Via Montega would make someone an awesome gravel grinder. The Via Montega was Univega's top hybrid most years and had a nice full ChroMo F/F and I am pretty sure DB main tubes on this one. Only $35 bucks but in the middle of nowhere unless your stationed at M.C.A.S. Yuma

Which? the Nishiki? or the Bianchi? I'd be curious to know the exact size of the Nishiki and the standover height

The Bianchi is the close one, but the Nishiki isn't far if you need some measurements taken.

Dear lord. This is 4 hours from me and my size.
I am now chanting "this is too far and I dont need a bike" over and over again for a few hours.

edit, 58cm is one size too small. A weird sense of disappointment and relief has washed over me haha

Miyata 714 road bicycle - $125 (Ballard)

https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/b...802883635.html

For sale a used Miyata 714 bicycle. Below are the specifics

Model 714
Aluminum with chro molly fork
56 cm (22")
14 speed
Shimano 600 group set
39/53 Chain ring
11/28 Cassette
Cartridge bottom bracket (replaced caged bearing)
Internal top tube rear brake cable
Campagnolo rear wheel
Shimano front wheel

This was a top to bottom bike build a few years ago and has been kept indoors and used sparingly. Cables and housing have been replaced recently. It has been kept in Seattle as a vacation bike, but is being sold due to relocating.

Note: Bike is available for viewing Saturday afternoon and Sunday only. Appointment details can be discussed today through Sunday. Also note that the picture reflects a different saddle. I have replaced the one in the picture with something more comfortable, but am unable to include specific model as I am not in Seattle presently. The Miyata is priced to sell as moving requires liquidating it.

Specific location is the Amli Mark 24 in Ballard. If interested contact me via email and then a phone number will be provided for further discussions.

Limit to consumables and experience the ride.

Option is trade bait parts with patience. I would seek interesting mixed period. Vintage tubular wheelsets are cheap.

Leave the paint as is.

Even better for your sense of relief then, because that looks like a 56 to me.

Hm, I could see a really nice sport touring bike coming out of that with a repaint and 700c wheels.

That would be interesting. Right now sitting on the 27 in. is tight. Fork crown width seems fine, the 700c would help but I think this frames rear might be max for a 30 width. Possibly. They're 'racey' geometry of the era.

Holy smokes, a Vitus 976 frame with Shimano Dura-Ace FD and RD (7400-era) and 6400-era 600 crankset for $100. $100, people!!

An early Davidson, a Discovery touring bike for $600. Complete with various Campagnolo bits. Really just a grubby bike that could use a full disassembly, clean/wax/potential touch-up, and then reassembly. Lovely color, and of course being a Davidson, it's going to be a great ride.
