Stumpjumper and Bridgestone XO-1 fans.... Not mine, but I have seen this rig several times (Near the U. of Denver) and have to say that it is spectacular to see in person.....
The photos don't do it justice- In person, to my naked eye the paint looks exactly like pristine XO-1 paint. I think the sun is throwing off the sellers' photos....: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=110422898688 |

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWAX:IT Here's a non-CL bike sighting: At ThriftTown in San Carlos, CA (El Camino Real and Brittan) there's a nearly *mint* Univega Mixte in pale gold metallic. Nearly everything looks stock, including the 27" tires, seems to have been ridden once and stored for 30 years...$89. I almost bought it to "flip" but decided no more projects right now. |

well, crap, I'm an idiot. I impulsively bought these brake levers on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWAX:IT
and then read the auction more carefully, they're the kind that routes the cable through the top, not what I'm looking for. anyone want to buy these off me? |

Weird bike...
http://allentown.craigslist.org/bik/1316590819.html Alenax Road Bicycle, pump bike, RARE - $150 (Kutztown, PA 19530) I have for sale a vintage Alenax pump style bicycle. In original condition. There are multiple spots where the paint got nicked off in the garage and little dings, but overall the bike looks great! This was not ridden much and even has the original tires in excellent condition. The bike features aluminum SR Sakae Custom Road Champion bars, stem and nice dia-compe components. The bike was originally built for triathletes and features a rare triathlete seat... Everything works on this bike... For a little history on Alenax bikes, the chainwheel has been replaced by two pivoted arms called transbars. Gears are selected by moving a familiar style shifter which engages two ratchets housed within the long arms of the transbars. This changes the arc of the transbars. Each transbar pivots on a fixed shaft where the crank would be on a normal bike and is linked by a chain to a cog on the hub of the rear wheel. Unlike normal bikes, there are two chains and two cogs. A connecting cable returns the pedals for the next downstroke of the rider's foot. As one pedal goes down, the other comes up. This is something that you won't see again as these are incredibly rare. This would be a great bike for the collector, museum, to hang on the wall of your shop, or ride! I'm asking $150.00 obo, please call mike at 484-797-9356 to step up a time to see the bike http://images.craigslist.org/3ne3p83...443f58167c.jpg |

About that. Maybe 1971 or 1972. I have a 1971 with paint in much worse shape. It's my beloved commuter bike. The long reach brakes suck, but other than that, it's a honey.

It's outfitted mostly with Galli parts, which are comparable to classic high end Campagnolo components. Everything is in great shape since it's been used lightly by all of its owners (3). Everything on the bike is original except for the seat, seatpost, pedals, chain, a rear-derailleur pulley, handlebars and the wheels. This bike would fit somebody around 6 feet or taller. * Location: somerville * it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests http://images.craigslist.org/3k53ob3...1102541579.jpg |
