I'm selling a collection of turn of the century Victor prints. There are 8 in all. All are framed. Some done by William Bradley I've collected these over the past 35 years.
I have another 60 + pieces of bike art from 1890's to 1980's. Dealer display signs, original tin street signs etc. Id like not to ship so I'm selling it local. Changing the décor and I need more storage space. I'd prefer not to ship however shipping is a possibility. email Chuck

My SOP with things like ^^^^^ that -- if it's in the pic, in/on the product being sold, and not specifically excluded, it's in the sale. If the seller says otherwise, I negotiate, or walk. It's sloppy at best, and shady at worst.

$475 is way too high. If it were an earlier XO-1 and hadn't had all the parts swapped out for mediocre "retro-style" ones, then maybe. You don't even get the Brooks!
Here's the story on 1994 XOs from the Retrogrouch blog:
"In 1994, the XO-1 was dropped from the lineup. The only XO bikes in the catalog were the XO-3, 4, and 5. The 3 model had a lugged frame somewhat like the much nicer XO-1, as well as the original mustache bar, but other details of the frame (such as the lovely fork crown - now gone), along with the component choices, marked it as a lower-cost entry. "

Vintage De Rosa Professional Steel Bike - $825 (WakefieldCirca 1984/85 Italian De Rosa bike built of Columbus SLX tubing with Dura Ace components for sale. This was one of the top bikes available during that era, ridden by professionals and built by one of Italy's iconic framebuilders. And it rides wonderfully - very quick and responsive. It looks beautiful too. It has some paint chips and chrome weakness in areas (see pics), but the frame is straight with no dings/dents, the original decals (except the Columbus sticker) are fully intact, and the metallic paint is lustrous and really shines in the sun. The bike measures 53cm center to center on the seat tube and 54 cm ctc on the top tube, with about a 31" standover height, and so would be best for someone of medium size - perhaps 5-6" to 5-10". Will include vintage Campagnolo pedals (not shown) and period correct saddle in excellent condition. Asking $825.

I think the price is higher than I'd like to pay so I'd want to talk a buyer down. That said if you like the bike, this is not a crazy price. It has a lugged frame and a nice flat fork crown. This bike is nicely built up with a quality handlebar and saddle and tires.
I own a 1993 Bridgestone XO 2. It is a great bike. The combination of road geometry and 26 inch tires is a great combination. You can get that today with a gravel bike and 29ers but back in the day, 26 inch was a better choice as there was better tire availability.
Edit: I just saw that it does not come with the Brooks which lowers the value somewhat. So $300 is likely about right. I doubt the buyer will take it given the crazy prices for old Bridgestones.

If you're tall and have a fork laying around I would guess this could be a bargain. Nothing beats new frames

1987 Peugeot Europe Express -- 21in frame, Reynolds 531 tubing, Shimano Deore XT SIS, Ł220.00, in Camberley UK area, eBay.co.uk.
Doesn't appear to have the original Brooks saddle. Might need tires/tubes.
Link: 1989 Peugeot catalog for the Europe Express ATB.

Retro Mountain bike, Peugeot Europe Express 1989 Model. (54cm / 21 Inch Frame), original available in Europe with 19, 21 and 23 Inch frames, this bike sits nicely in the middle. The bike itself has travelled very few miles. Note that its still on its original tyres, which although cracked have the majority of their tread left on them they do hold air. Over the years though it has picked up various storage marks. These are just cosmetic. I believe it has full period Deore XT Group Set, matched with a Reynolds 531 Frame. It appears to have been Peugeots top of the range bike at the time. Cash on collection preferred, collection only from Camberley / Surrey GU15 Please no more requests for individual parts, collectively the parts are worth more than the bike, grab a great deal.

I love Bridgestones but they do command a premium so they tend to be priced high. This is an XO 3 not a 4 and this is the catalog page, https://www.sheldonbrown.com/bridges...4/pages/39.htm

Right, the ad is unclear and it could be read either way but the OP has spoken with the seller and he wants to keep the brooks. But yes the ad could have been written more clearly.

Not unclear to me, as stated earlier and as you eluded to, without the Brooks it's way overpriced, if it's in the pic, its in the price and he's way off either way.

Huh, don't see that anywhere, says the Avocet is included, not instead, that means it comes with both if I'm looking to buy, if not the offer will go way, way down before I walk away.

I'm curious did you read the bit where I wrote that the OP spoke with the seller and he does not want to include the brooks?
If you want to argue with me that the seller is really saying he wants to sell an extra saddle, go for it. I totally agree that is a natural reading of the ad but it is not what the seller meant. Nor am I disagreeing with you that the bike is overpriced.
But if you feel the need to disagree with me when I agree with you a second time, please feel free to do so,

That's funny, I'm largely agreeing with you and you need to post again to disagree.

Not disagreeing with you, just don't see where the OP spoke with the seller, my issue is with the ambiguity of the ad.
I take great issue with ads that show a component like and especially a Brooks, then say or don't say it is or isn't included. if its in, its in, if not take it off and don't imply a bait and switch, especially if you have another that is included, put it on and be straight with potential buyers, especially if the component may or not justify an unrealistic price.

I do not know where it went, but I did say in a post that I had messaged with the seller and the Brooks is not included at the posted price. It could be included depending on the negotiated price. I am going to check the bike out on Monday morning if it is still available. I really like the looks and the info from the posts here has added to my desire to further pursue.
