Thinking right near to 1972 for a date.
Regarding size -
thinking it appears smaller than seller's stated size.
wonder if perhaps they might be measuring oddly as bottom-to-top rather than centre-to-top.
might be worth contacting them for a clarification...

Seems a stupid good deal, though it's been advertised a year prior at the same great price and it seems no one bought it. Baffling.

I've owned it almost 15 years and bought it from the original owner here in MA. Date codes and frame details place it as a 1985. It was ordered through International Bicycle in Brighton, MA which was bought by another shop and other records are unavailable.
It shows typical component and frame wear for its age and use but has no mechanical or structural issues. Stem, tape, tubes, cables and housing, hoods, and saddle were recently replaced and headset was serviced.
Original owner was 6'-5". I'm 6'-7" but believe it could fit someone up to 7' with stem and seatpost adjustments. Standover is ~37.5". Forward to all your tall friends!

That is a sweet bike. If it were my size I would make contact to make sure that everything that is on the bike in the picture actually comes with the bike. It is not cheap but it looks almost brand new. With the condition of everything on the bike, if it is the total package, I would surely consider it.
