Yes, was watching too out of curiosity. Good price for sure. It feels like a buyer's market right now, most selling prices I've seen are lower if they go at all.

Miyata 710

when they still have the owners manual, that’s a good sign. Only one (non drive side) photo though.

https://louisville.craigslist.org/bi...939919677.html

bicycle frame material: aluminum
bicycle type: road
frame size: 22"
make / manufacturer: Miyata
model name / number: 710
wheel size: 26 in

Miyata 710 all original, needs tires and probably a tuneup

Theres some interesting cheap classic mtbs in CL los angeles up for adoption.. a couple haro impulses and an iboc pro. I saw some posts about cheap commuter bikes in the other forums, I'd def go this route rather than new big box crap for the same cost.

Is anyone able to facilitate? Seller is not interested in helping me get it shipped

Man, don't get me started on how hot I think those are. Sleeved/lugged carbon fiber and Reynolds 853 steel??? Sign me up!! They sold them as large as 61cm, which is a touch small for my size range (63cm-66cm), but I'd want to make one of those beauties work for sure. Gorgeous bikes. And for $400, a total deal in my eyes. I'd try and post in the facilitators thread and see what happens. I had someone come through for me for my Prologue (in LA), and I will keep that bike forever.

A sticky is to keep a thread at the top. This one does fine on its own without needing to be stuck.

oh, man... that was my first 10-speed -- in 1977. same color. foolish lad that i was, i replaced the crank and derailleurs with campy. switched the brakes to dura-ace and bought weinmann concave rims because they were bombproof. but now i'm looking at the stronglight and huret pieces and dying a little inside.

funny thing... i also switched to bar-end shifters just like those suntours.

i still have the bike. it's a little more beat-up than this one, but i still love it

Would need some long legs and flexibility for stoking the Bianchi Giro with that set up. So many really nice tall bikes for sale out there. Much harder to find 53/54's.

That'd be a keeper for me - I have a 57cm '89 Giro, a beauty but right now it usually just graces my office wall since it's a just little too small to be comfortable. One day soon I'll have to say goodbye.

Let me know if you want me to facilitate! I would be all over this if I didn’t blow my budget on a Colnago Super earlier this week... to be honest, I almost wish I got the bianchi instead as it’s already ridable and has better components and tubing

Nice Colnago. I really appreciate the facilitation offer, incredibly tempting but I don't dare get another until I move at least a couple. I'm sweating as I type this. Must.... Resist....

1975 Miyata -$275

https://cincinnati.craigslist.org/bi...944953997.html

"1975 Miyata Pro Model all original. This was a professional model high end bicycle. These models were used in the Tour de France and were a professional racing bike right off the shelf. This was Japan’s best bicycle company and was revered around the world. Even has the original Brooks Professional saddle. The saddle alone is worth $100. You can look but you won’t find this model for sale anywhere. This bike had the highest quality parts for its time. Wheels are smooth and true. Everything is in working condition and ready to ride. It needs a good cleaning even though it has been stored indoors. It’s around a Large frame size. Email for more information."

Wow! Stem shifters in the Tour de France. Racks and reflectors too!

Maybe *some* Miyatas were ridden in the Tour in 1975, but probably not this one.
