If I had room (I don't) and if this were a little taller I'd submit an offer. $350 before shipping is a bit much IMO but I have a thing for the old Carlton Catalinas, the Capella lugs and copper-ish paint on this one are a plus.

If you want one bike that can do anything this is the bike. The 26" wheels make it feel more agile and the wider tires make more comfortable and secure. If you blow the tires up hard it is fast if you let a little air out it is cushy. The handlebars are wider and splayed out for better control with a load and for more room for the knees to stand up and honk.
The drive train is all Shimano with a rear derailleur Deore XT (upgraded from LX) and LX in front. The shifters are Dura Ace bar end shifters for convenience and durability. The brakes are DiaComp 986 cantileavers that can stop a fully loaded touring bike or when you are coming down a mountain. The bars and stem are high quality Nitto, the tires are Ritchy Tom Slicks and the rear rack is a super strong Blackburn.
The Bridgestone catalog describes this bike best. "It looks like a road bike with fat tires, a European touring bike or an XO-1 with drop bars. Our intention was to build a 26" wheel version of last year's RB-T." The XO-2 has Ishwada triple butted road bike tubing and is fast enough for the road, rugged enough for light trail riding and perfect for touring. The bike has high pressure slicks for the road but will take mountain bike tires up to 1.9" for the trails or thin road tires for speed. The RB-T touring bike this replaced was what Grant Peterson who ran Bridgestone and anyone who road one called the best all around bike and I think the XO-2 is its equal. I have a highly thought of RB-Ts that I will sell for $800 instead and keep this bike.

This Legnano was built by Emillio Bozzi in Milan in 1972. Legnano was founded in 1902 and acquired by Bozzi. Legano bikes were ridden by legendary riders like Alfredo Binda, Learco Guerra, Gino Bartali, Fausto Coppi and Ercole Baldini and coutless others. Legnano built many Olympic record holding and international champion bikes. Fortunes changed for Legnano by Bozzi being killed in a terrorist attack and the company being acquired by Bianchi.
In 1972 only Legnano's best bike frames were built of Reynolds 531 tubing throughout and equipped with Campagnolo Nuovo Record components like this bike. It has chrome fork, stays and lugs, Campagnolo powertrain of cranks, derailleurs and shifters and universal brakes. The stem and bars are not original with a later 3T stem and ergonomic bars and the rims have been upgraded to Regina clenchers from the original sewup tires for more trouble free riding. The saddle has also been upgraded to a Brooks Professional. Otherwise the bike is in original.
It is 57cm or 22.5" from the center of the crank to the center of the top tube. The stand over height is 32". It should be suitable for a rider 5' 9" or taller. I am 5'10" and find it perfect.

About the frame: Guerciotti are top of the line vintage racing bikes from Italy. These vintage bikes are highly rare. This Guerciotti frame is custom painted (has sticker) from the factory in candy red. Beneath the frame is an all chrome finish, which makes it a perfect city bike, so don’t worry about scratches. This frame is dated to the late 80s or early 90s based on the style and that it has internal cable routing.
About the build: I have it built as an 1x8 speed using Shimano Dura Ace derailleur, brakes, headset, Shimano 105 cranks and rear hub, on Mavic rims and a rare and light Mavic Cosmos front wheel and hub.
It runs beautifully! And I’ve tuned it up to be a perfect commuter for someone around 6’ or taller.

"This is a rare 1991 rockhopper comp with pure LX grupo.
Everything is original except the derailleur cables.
It was a garage sale find, purchased from an older woman who did not use it anywhere but sidewalks.
Both hubs have been overhauled. Bottom bracket has been replaced. Drivetrain was completely cleaned and lubricated including a professional overhaul of the shifters. Entire bike is tuned up and ready to ride.

I have a 25" frame size in this color, and the Tange headset is truly the only thing original about this bike. Well, apart from being a frameset only when one was able to purchase it new. It's a frame worthy of new-era Dura-Ace, IMO. It's also a 1987 model, per the stamping in the head badge.Could any of us imagine riding that saddle? Talk about a castration special....
