Great condition 50cm Grandis frameset. Frame is somewhere in the 81-83 range year wise. Very light peppering on the stays, but I left them alone. Full columbus tubing. Brev. Campagnolo dropouts. I'm including both early brev. Campagnolo bottom bracket, and headset. Also with it is a very short reach cinelli stem I dont see myself using. Made in italy. Thanks for looking. My price is not firm, just need to clear out some stuff.

Very cool "Grant Petersen/Rivendell-esque" build, but for crying out loud, put some clean tape on it! And get that cruddy tape off the seat tube. Seller is asking enough $$ that he should at least make the cockpit something I won't feel the need for a tetanus shot after a test ride...
https://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/bi...025940581.html

For sale is a vintage 1985 Miyata 310 road bike that has been converted to a 650b wheel size.
Steel lugged frame with triple butted CRMO tubing.
Frame size is 59cm, I'm 6'-1" and usually need a 56cm or so, but with the 650b is perfect. I would say you need to be 5'-10" to 6'-2" and this bike can accommodate you.
This build consists of:
+ Synergy wheels built with Shimano Deore XT rear and Shimano Alfine generator hub (6v) front
+ Busch & Muller Lumotec Plus (standlight = light stays on after stopped for a few second) in the front, and a B&M Secula Plus in the rear (fender mounted)
+ Velo Orange snakeskin 650b fenders
+ Panaracer Pacella PARI-MOTO tires with thorn resistant tubes
+ Tektro 559 front and rear brakes with new pads mounted
+ Tektro aero brake levers
+ Nitto Technomic Stem
+ Soma mustache handlebar with cloth wrap and shellac (now with patina)
+ Dia-Compe bar end shifters (comes with left as well, see last photo)
+ Shimano 105 rear derailleur
+ Comes with original Signature Shimano front/rear derailleurs and downtube shifters as well as front (left) bar end shifter from Dia-Compe
As you can see, this is a great bike and components, but is ready for a new owner.
Come on by and take this one for a ride, you won't be disappointed.
Price is $650 cash (no trade) or best reasonable offer
Please leave a number to get a reply
If the ad is up...it is available, honest!
I know this is not the season, but if you are thinking of building something like this, or are in the process...this could be your answer.
Thanks!

Yes, the tape. First I've ever seen such a thing; I thought it might be hiding an issue as well. I can't think of a single plausible reason for wrapping a section of seat tube with tape - and finishing it off with twine, too. I'd love to hear input, though

My guess is that it's a designated grab point for navigating a walk up with the bike.

Some sort of Hipster locking it up thing? I thought about a grab point for walking it but who grabs a bike there? It also doesn't seem like a good location for hanging
It seem way over priced anyway, you can get a few nice Bianchis or Bertonis for that kind of money.

Marushi? I stumbled on this on FB Market place, you know typing in various words looking for the holy grail of a great bike going dirt cheap. Not much info just " 23"superb pro components" I thought it might be a donor for the 'Speckled Trout' Bertoni until I realized it would be a 7+ hour round trip
$100 might be worth it for someone closer
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...0834735726686/

This Geurciotti looks interesting. seller claims it is 'near mint', the wheels look used and the frames seems scuffy but the chainwheels look NOS. Seems pricy at $450 for TreTubi Alle and 105, even if it is NOS kit. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...1318807477539/

I'm very dubious of the seat tube tape as well, but notice how it is patina-ed like the tape on the bars. Possible that the owner grabs is there for whatever reason?

This was just listed in the last 30min or so. If you're near CT and looking for an early 80's SR Cannondale, this looks like an '83 SR400, maybe 58cm size?
$90 start price, $241 B-I-N, neither are bad considering the potato-esque picture makes it look barely ridden.

Is this yours? I’ve only ever seen one of these and we swapped the Athena kit off fir a Dura Ace for one of the store owners where I worked. Between the graphics and that beautiful silver Athena group I always thought it was one of the better looking Cannondales

Per ad: $300 Canadian (Oshawa)
vintage made in Italy bianchi in very good condition..i believe this bike to be late from late 1950,s to early 1970,s. serial number is 2c61138....4 new brake pads....27 inch alloy rims..new brake cables....bike is ready to ride..paint is in very good condition....decals need replacing
I'd say that's a pretty big year gap "late 1950,s to early 1970's" what with the sticker head badge...
