Panasonic Mountain Cat 3500 MTB, lugged Tange Infinity, $180 @ Portland OR area, CraigsList.

Looks like it's in very good condition.
Vintage Panasonic Mountain Cat 3500 (aka, MC 3500) Japanese Lugged Chromoly Steel mountain bike - immaculate original condition.

1987 or 1988. Made in Japan. Tange Infinity chromoly steel tubing. Beautiful red color.

This is a 18.5" frame (center of bottom bracket to top of seat tube) with 29.5" standover height... ideal for someone with a 30.5" to 32.5" inseam (crotch to ground) measurement.

Plenty of braze-ons for racks / fenders. Nice lugs, excellent condition original paint.

3 x 6 drivetrain (18 speeds total).

All original component set / original leather seat, tires, etc. Grips have been replaced but everything else is as sold in the late 1980s: Suntour indexed thumb shifters, Suntour XCM derailleurs, Suntour XCM crankset, Dia Compe brakes, Araya rims, Dirt drop alloy riser stem w/matching handlebars, etc. Even the original Cateye reflectors are pretty cool...

Original wide 26" Ritchey (made by Panasonic / Panaracer) tires that are great for both street riding and light off road use.

This bike had been thoroughly cleaned, tuned, and lubed. Needs nothing... ready to ride.

These no-suspension mountain bikes make great commuters or touring bikes (built robust and can haul loads).

Absolutely bullet proof... frame set will easily last another 20 years if taken care of.

$180, firm.

Not worth the ask, honestly, if you keep your eyes peeled you can find these for half that or less. Lots of parts substitutions. Catalog: The Bicycle Info Project :: Torpado Bicycles Brochure circa late 70's/early 80's

I have a Super Strada, fully Campy NR, paid less than that. I've seen two other Super Stradas go recently for less than $250. One was $225 in Savannah GA, another was $125 or $150 in Atlanta. Not sure why they sell so cheap, they're very well made.

F W Evans up for sale on eBay, supposedly NOS, looks nicely made, I'm guessing early 80s based on build and dropouts? Hilarystone wrote at least one article about Evans on Classic Lightweights. Looks like a nice frameset. Too small for me, but thought it may be interesting to others here. Same F W Evans who started Evans Cycles? https://www.ebay.com/itm/283704168736

If someone wants the Cyclone parts, i would love to have F and F. I am sure we could work out some sort of deal / cost share.

$160. Some nice details and Cyclone is a good group from its period. I'm almost tempted to go over and make him a lowball offer just to pick up the wheels and components, but I don't really need or have room for them.
Looks like a KHS, perhaps?

I could potentially facilitate this, if needed.

1985 Herman Braun. Don't let the 105 stuff fool you. This is a nice frame.

Herman Braun 1985 Reynolds 531

Braun is a former team mechanic, who started his own frame building business sometime in the the mid-eighties. He succeeded Jan van Dalen as the Duell frame builder in 2012, according to my information. This is one of his early frames.

$150 for this Campy 1st gen Record mech/lever set. Seems like a fair price if you're building something late 50s/early 60s and want to stick period-correct. Looks like it's worth the $$ given the above-average condition, IMHO.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/254446160768

Nice Zeus track bike, but this and the other interesting bike from this seller both have reserves which always gets my goat, they're often so high it's impossible for the buyer to get a favorable shake, much less "bear the market" naturally.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/372866683798

Won't be bidding on this one either, bet it'll be a last-minute crapshow and I suspect will close out in excess of 500. But still, gorgeous Raleigh track frame.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/333430539430

Dunno why, also found this Donohue frame pretty interesting. 853. Maybe not so C&V, not sure, not familiar with the builder.

Having arranged things with the owner who had texted me her address, I was on my way to buy/pick up the bike last night at 8pm, when the owner texted me again, and asked if I would pay $400 for it... then texted me a couple of minutes later, saying her husband had just agreed to sell it to someone else for $400... I went home. Ah well.
What price ebay?
