"Vintage Woodrup 531 ST with # 5525 stamped on the bottom of the frame
This is a classic English road bike. Woodrup hand builds a few hundred bicycles a year. From the research I have done it looks like this bike is form the 1980's
The frame has a decal with S M Woodrup on it
The rims are Wolber Modele 58 Super Champion
The handlebars are Cinelli Xampione Del Mondo 66-47
Keo toe clips
Compagnolo brakes
Suntour derailer
Suskind Cranks
Avocet Gell seat ( not in good shape)
It will need tires, has some rust on the chain and a few components
I will gladly answer any questions you send. I don't know much about high end bikes or components. I can meet in Raleigh or Durham if desired
I tried to provide as many pictures as I could, but I can send specific pictures if requested.

bicycle frame material: steel

bicycle type: road
brake type: other/unknown
condition: good
electric assist: none
frame size: 25 inches
handlebar type: drop
make / manufacturer: Woodrup
model name / number: 531 ST
serial number: 5525
suspension: none (rigid)
wheel size: other/unknown"

https://raleigh.craigslist.org/bik/d...042767519.html

(Maybe a Steve Woodrup (the son)? Does that dropout appear cracked to anyone else?)
Which dropout are your referring to? Drive side looks like gunk. Non-drive side though, might be cracked.

PS - NoControl sorry posted in a hurry and failed to include "why" is clearly Olmo, especially sans headbadge etc.

Classic Olmo: The Cinelli-esque seat stay treatment. Stamped year/serial just under seat tube collar. Those are two dead giveaways. I actually have that same model (but either a '67 or '68 stamping) in my shop right now, bought from the west coast in mint shape and profesionally stripped, with clearcoat for - IIRC - $160 shipped? Has head badge and all.

A few BF'ers have that same frameset as well. I want to say @randyjawa is one of them. I really wish I could find posts. One or two members have theirs in bright yellow/green. There are a few other colors floating around.

A couple of within a couple years:

1960(?) OLMO DeLuxe swap find

ID this (maybe) 1950s (maybe) Italian (maybe) racer - campy "open C" content

I agree. I wouldn't pay that but its a rare and desirable frame that in Ontario would go for big bucks.. Price is overly ambitious and if I wanted it I'd wait a bit and offer a lot less but I'm not in the market.

A rather unusual 1976 Schwinn Super Le Tour on Chicago CL. Dura-Ace crank and brakes, Record front and Nuovo Record rear derailleurs. Considering the components the price ($240) seems reasonable as well.

Stair guy! I love stair guy- I bought a bike from him on ebay and his packing was impeccable and the bike was exactly as he described.. probably better! He really does a nice job- he may be flipping but the work he does in-between is worth way more than what he prices them at. It must be a hobby and labor of love that works out for us on the receiving end.

Panasonic DX 4000 Road Bike
Wilmington, NC · 17 minutes ago ·
$100

"Panasonic DX 4000 Racing Bicycle (1987) This thing needs some TLC, but is a solid road bike. Full disclosure, it needs some work on the back brakes, new handle bar wrappings, and minor work on the gears, minor rusting, seat cover is taped but white seat underneath in good condition. This is a great pick up for someone who refurbishes older road bikes. They sell for 5x this value once they’re fixed up. Serious inquiries only."

That would make an awesome urban run about or dropbar conversion.
