Amen
The whole thing is crazy. I took 2 Merz's and the 58 Paramount to the show in Anacortes where several people saw the Merz's that did not know who he was but instantly knew what they were looking at being very savvy C+V bike folk that couldn't believe they didn't know who he was.
Either way I always get a ton of positive response whenever I display them.
Again, they speak for themselves when you look at them as do Davidson, Ercikson, Rodriguez, Thompson, Ahearne, Pereira, DeSalvo, Igleheart, Lyon, Kamzelski, and so many others
There was one guy who was a huge fan like me, had only ever seen 1 other before and couldn't believe he was seeing 2 at the same time, he commented "I would have driven all the way here just to see these", I don't think he came that far but he was thrilled.

I also splurged last summer and picked up a 1999 "Arrow". Haven't tried it out yet, I need to get a chain for it.

Raleigh 3 speed (LTD 3) for $25. You could harvest enough parts from this to make it a deal if you are nearby.

Not your typical hubs (maybe not C&V either, my apologies), but pretty cool looking. From the looks of things, those flanges appear to have been CNC machined.

Lovely Longoni. Wheels are not original, but otherwise is looks quite authentic.
1948 Longoni

I saw this bike in the flesh a few months ago, and spent a good 15 minutes drooling over it:

If that was a couple centimeters taller I'd be begging you to facilitate.
Are bikes on Marktplaats typically measured center to center or center to top?

1986 Cannondale ST400 - 27" - $160 - Ad says ST500, but a 500 was Navy in color and the 400 could be had in light blue, even if it didn't match the photo/catalog scan. The big and very rare 27" (CTT) frame size for the true giants (giant-er than me!). Serial number confirms size and 1986 build date. It's even #1 (as in "001") for its sequence. Kinda cool.

For sure. If you're on FB (I'm not any more, but apparently 'window shopping' is still possible, haha) you could ask him. And maybe ask him to get a day time photo just to make sure that the paint is truly red, and not a uniformly-faded pink. I've had red bikes that look pink-ish on camera with crummy indoor lighting.

Funny, I don't have a FB account either but my dog does..LOL. I messaged him through there.
Hope he replies. I asked for just the frame

The way these frames just light up an out-of-the-saddle climb or acceleration effort is pretty phenomenal. The only frame I've owned that happily begs for as many watts as you can put into it, and then gives them back (quickly!) as forward motion in the only way steel can.

Same as M Petry's DiNucci when I rode it at Bob Freeman's ride and show, it was also fantastic despite not being able to pedal it worth a damn but still was amazing beyond the beyond.

Center to top is the local standard, used by those sellers who know how to measure a bike. Lots of inexperienced sellers though, so it's always best to double-check.

Bianchi Eros - $275 (Longmont, CO) [link]
Like new, near perfect condition. Came out of a time capsule in.my basement.Bianchi Eros 52cm with Campagnolo Mirage components. Rides like new. Needs nothing.

While certainly not a high-end Bianchi, the condition on this one is impressive.

Not a great bike but someone might be interested. Lots of pix, some of them even decent. Bike probably came with thumbies instead of those twist shifters.

Vintage chrome Raleigh mountain bike . Rides nice . Tires hold air fine but they are the original 80s so you will probably want to replace.
