This one might work well for someone in the Bay area given high shipping vs. local pick-up. Wish my Goodwill sold bikes like this.

58cm Atlantis (not the currant edition) . good shape, some chain suck marks but i do have touch up paint, no dents
$1200 for the frame set or a little more for a complete bike

57cm Heron Wayfarer. no dents but a few crude touch ups. fits a 700x38 with fenders. Waterford built. lighter than the Atlantis. $800 for frame set and a few hundred more complete

Pictures are of the actual bikes but some parts may or may not be on the bike or included

Well, obviously not the currant edition, it's turquoise...

It's (in my opinion) an overpriced hot mess, but it looks like it used to be a nice 59cm Colnago Master:

I'd give that a little fluff and buff and ride as is for a couple years. Who can say that their beater bike is a Colnago Master? Some, I'll wager, but not many.

Right on, Ben! Sometimes its nice just to have a rider. Its kind if like a convertible car. ANY convertible, regardless of make, model, age, or condition is classy and cool. Last summer this occurred to me when I pulled up behind a beat-to-death LeBaron, top-down, sheepdog in the back, radio playing, and the guys was wearing sunglasses and a smile on his face. It doesn't take much to be happy sometimes!

Done.

I finally got around to picking it up today, which was a surreal experience. A very out of the way industrial park outside DC, a single door, and a buzzer. I gave the guy who answered it the item number, and 10 minutes later had the bike. Should make a nice little winter project. Not remotely my size, but I always have friends and co-workers looking.

that could be a generic ebay estimate based on weights and measures entered for fed ex or ups. Some sellers may not realize you can ship a whole bike most anywhere in the US for around 80 bucks give or take. The frame should be around 40

Hi,
Not so sure, I have heard Bay does not count shipping cost in their final sale price which could have an effect on the fees charged...if that is true it could be the reason that some sellers are charging higher shipping fees...any EB sellers care to comment about how EB calculates fees? Again I could be wrong about this so a supposition on my part.
Best, Ben

Plume Sport Reynolds 531 Frameset, 52 cm - $179 (Nashua)

Plume Sport is a shop in Anderlecht (Brussels), Belgium. They still exist today. Custom built frames by the Van Genck family.

When I bought this frame, the seller listed it a NOS which I believe as there wasn't any impression of ever having a wheel in the drops or on the FD Braze on. When I got it, the fork crown was painted, somewhat poorly, blue. It had some rust on it so it was painted over. I stripped the paint, cleaned the rust, primed and painted it to as close of a match as possible. The average person wouldn't notice the slight shade difference. I built it up, rode quite stable, but it was too small.

It is Reynolds 531 Double Butted tubes, 531 forks and stays. The short Campagnolo dropouts are nicely chromed as well as the chain stays. The dropout spacing is 126mm. There is a new Tange Headset installed, and I didn't cut the steerer tube, I just used a thicker spacer to allow the next owner to use whatever headset, hangers or whatever they wanted.

The Seat tube is 21.5" (52 cm) center to top, 50 cm, center to center. The Top tube is 54 cm center to center.

The DT decal on the Right side is a bit messed up, you could leave it or try to touch it up. I did look for replacement decals, but never found any. The head tube decal is also not perfect, see photos.

Free free to make an offer, Thanks
