I've been meaning to post this one to the WW thread. Seller has no fewer than four pics that are close-ups showing the brand name, but still manages, in all FIVE references in the ad text, to screw up the spelling. And in a manner that wouldn't even be pronounced the same. The icing on top -- seller is a bike shop.

I emailed them today. The swap venue is outdoors. Sunday's forecast from Nat'l Weather Service is "chance of rain."

Surprisingly, no. I would expect from them. It's some 'community cycling center' or something.

So I wander through CL every so often.

https://worcester.craigslist.org/bik...056575344.html

What really strikes me is that the poster seems to know about bikes but misses the one big thing...what freaking model is it? The pictures are too blurry to read the frame.

Since its got DT shifters, I’m guessing it’s a 500 or higher?

And are original 1980s tires really a selling point?

Need some help, can't post pics. Not a new member issue. Might be security settings on my end, or something. I choose "manage attachments," or the little "paper clip" from pull down, then: "Fom Files," then: select the pic from "gallery," then "upload." Starts to upload, gets to 50% and stops, a blank screen that says, "Alert," in a very small box, pops up, Along with another small box that reads, "OK." Tnx for any insights. I can copy/paste links into a reply. Android is my OS.

This happens to me when my pictures are too large. I find reducing the pic dimensions below 1200x1600 pixels and/or getting the file size down below 1MB total will get you past the 50% mark, where it starts.

If size/dimensions aren't your issue, you may want to (on Windows) reset your Internet Options settings and/or (on Windows, Linux or MacOS) reset your browser to defaults and/or try another browser totally. It's entirely possible you've got an add-on or PUP hijacking something or hooking where it shouldn't be or something else is wonky.

I use the picture frame thingy to the right of the paperclip and get this screen. It uploads pics right off my android phone.

Thanks for the tips on posting pics. The picture frame next to paperclip, does not work for me. Going to try the incognito approach when i figure out what my password was, or go thru the process of making a new one. Apparently, when incognito you have to type it in manually. I will keep chipping away at it.

Actually, yes. They likely show the bike hasn't been ridden much at all as he says in the ad.

I agree, any uploading issues I have are typically image/file size issues.

Picked it up for $50. It’s a little rough, but I’ve had worse. Frame is intact so it’s next on the rebuild list.

One of the cleanest Fuji I have seen. Alas it's a 23in frame
Fuji Touring series 4 with 27in tires so will fit some nice wide 700s.
Currently 3 x 6
$125
Greenville NC

With that headtube I find it highly unlikely it is a 23" frame.
It may be 25"?

That's quite a find- thanks for posting it. Worth noting that the SCCR tires shown in these pictures are original spec- suggesting low mileage commensurate with the condition of the rest of the bike. The price is unbelievable. Somebody local is going to be very lucky.

machinist42 cyclist_obscura I wondered about the stated height but because it's a 9 hour drive it's just not realistic for me (and shipping would be another $100). If it were within a 2 hour drive.......!!!!!

I did contact him--it is a 500. He's only about 20 minutes away. I'm going to see it this weekend.

Now to tell my husband... Or maybe he won't notice an extra bike on the rack?
