sweet deal for the asking. other than the wheels, seat post and seat that appears to have its original component. definitely looks like a 23 as well.

Fiorelli Racing Bicycle, Milano-San Remo. Coppi, Campagnolo, 3TTT, Ofmega,Modolo

The second is a mostly pretty legit set of parts, though certainly not spec. I bought that exact frameset for $40ish, and when I researched the bike (which was sparsely resourced).
However, that price is a bit optimistic I would think...

^^^^^ "Milwaukee guy" has a couple old Bianchis on the Madison CL. One of them, he mentions "Columbus tubing", but doesn't specify which, and no close-up photo of any frame tubing sticker. He almost always seems to use the same 3-4 angles/positions/compositions for his photos. Seems to do a very nice job prepping his product.

^^^ I was excited at first glance. But then I noticed: no lugs and a unicrown fork. Somehow that takes all the magic out of it for me. I know the decal says hand-built in Italy, and I suppose it probably rides pretty well, but I'll pass.

I saw that a couple weeks ago near me. (Medford Massachusetts). I was trying to figure out what it was or if it would be worth it to purchase for components alone. If she'd taken a picture of the serial number, it might provide some clue on its origins. Heck, even a better picture of the bike in general...

That one's a beauty, but 1 cm too large. I wish I could just stop looking. I have plenty of projects already, and no more space to store them. But every day I'm drawn to our local CL and this thread on BF... just can't help myself.

Interesting concept; model name does not exactly instill confidence in the engineering/construction.....

You've never been in a breakaway before? Get it? Cycling 'breakaway' and the frame breaks down... 'breaks away'.... Get it?
Anyway, they ride real nice, comfortable, fast, are handmade steel, and look great....

Ishiwata tubing
Original Shimano 600 group set.
Shimano 7 speed 2x7 bar end shifters.
12-28 Shimano 7 speed cassette.
53 40 Shimano chainrings.
172.5 crank length.
Dia Compe brake calipers
Dia Compe brs300 brake levers
Nitto 165 handlebars 42cm
Fizik bar tape.
3ttt stem 110mm.
MKS road pedals.
Ritchy Vantage front rim 32 hole.
Mavic Open Pro rear rim 32 hole.
Continental Grand Prix 4000 tires 23mm.
Specialized seat.

Point worth noting... About the only original parts on that bike as it sits are the brake calipers, wheels and seatpost. It did arrive with the Simplex derailleurs (original, I believe). Not sure if the Lycett saddle was original (I would have expected a Wrights of some type). I gave that to a friend. I think I might still have the Stronglight crank, but the drive-side arm was a bit curved.

Seller says it is a "Nico", to my eye it looks like a well built Japanese touring bike with a lot of nice touches----bar end shifters, chromed lugs, rando bars----and all for a whopping $106.

I've got to think that just is a Pro Tour with an alternative or missing brand label - it looks very similar.

And if that were my size and near my I'd have already bought it.
