I have 2 all orginal 1970's Mens Viscount Aerospace GP 10spds, wtih the orginal alloy "death fork", Shimano Titus parts, barcon shifters. Here is the article that can be found on Sheldon Browns site about these bikes https://www.sheldonbrown.com/lambert.html The red one has a 58cm frame and the blue is a 56cm. The bikes are being sold as is, as mentioned in the article the forks may need to be replaced at your risk. $125 each cash and pick up only. local low ballers dont waste your time.

Miyata 512 Competition Road Bike - $50

Older Miyata 512 competition road bike. This was a very expensive and nice competition road bike 10+ years ago. Has only been ridden a few times and garaged the entire time. Needs a new seat and tubes, but then should be a great bike for someone. Again, this bike literally only has a few miles on it. A few dollars to fix it up and you have a very nice bike. Would also consider trade or partial trade for larger mountain bike.

Bianchi Road Bike Columbus Frame, Time Carbon Fork & Campagnolo Chorus - $995 (North Easton)

Date: 2010-06-13, 9:17PM EDT
Reply to: sale-nzsy2-1790469032@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

Classic Bianchi road bike in excellent condition. The color is Celeste (seafoam) green with chrome chainstays. The high quality hand-built frame was made in Italy. Today, most Bianchis are made in Asia. It has lugged construction, which is extremely rare these days. The tubing is butted Columbus Minimax, which is composed of Nivacrom alloy steel. Columbus is the leading maker of high-end bicylce tubing and is used in many exotic (and expensive) bikes. The frame is very light for a steel frame. I bought the bike brand new and have not ridden it often. I own many other bikes and have very little time to ride. I have not ridden this bike in over 5 years. It has never been crashed or dropped and the frame has never been repaired. The components are Campagnolo Chorus 10 speed. The components have very low miles on them as I did not ride the bike much after I upgraded them. By the way, although Campagnolo has moved on to 11 speed and is no longer selling 10 speed groups, they are still manufacturing 10 speed components and 10 speed parts will be available for many years, just like 9 speed parts were. The bike has always been stored indoors and has never seen a drop of rain. It has a Time carbon fork and also comes with a Campagnolo Record headset. The handlebars are Cinelli and it has a Profile quill stem. It also has a carbon seat post. The wheels are hand built with Mavic Reflex rims and Campagnolo Chorus hubs. The wheels have 0 miles on them since I had the bearings professionally re-lubricated and inspected and the wheels trued. The tires are Michelin Axial Pros with Celeste green trim. The frame measures 55 cm., center to center. I am about 5' 10 1/2" and have a 32" inseam and the bike fits me very well.

The current bike in the Bianchi line that is closest to the one I am selling is the Dolomiti. The Dolmiti's frame is made of chromoly, not Columbus brand tubing, and it has lower level Campagnolo Athena components, rather than Chorus. The Dolmiti lists for $4,999 and is not made in Italy.

The photos below are not very clear. Please drop me an email or give me a call if you would like me to email you higher resolution photos. I also have a Campagnolo Ergo-Brain computer that is not included in the price, but I will sell it at a low price if the buyer is interested. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me or call me at (617) 416-1008. Thank you. Mark

CAMPAGNOLO C RECORD W/ DELTA BRAKESET COMPONENT GROUP + WHEELSET - $750 (Long Beach)

Date: 2010-06-13, 4:04PM PDT
Reply to: sale-q2d2q-1790303788@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

This auction is for a Campagnolo C Record component group. This is one of the rarest and well built component groups that money can buy. It is highlighted by the gorgeous Campy Delta brakeset with their matching Powergrade Brake Levers, and Record Hubset laced to Omega Strada rims. It is a complete groupo with skewers, chain, headset, cassette and rare Biodinamica 900 bottle cages. Every part is in perfect mechanical condition and great cosmetic condition. The Powergrade Levers are very rare and are the model that allow adjustment to brake modulation, and the hoods are bright white, have no tears and very little wear at all. There is some wear on the crankset from heel rub and headset from installation and storage but all in all great condition for its age. This is the most complete Campy C Record group I have seen. This groupo was on a time trial bike and was only used for race days and was very well taken care of. A chance to own one of the most beautiful and best performing component groups ever made. The parts list is as follows:

* Campagnolo C Record Syncro 2 Index Shifters 8 speed Rear, Double Front
* Campagnolo C Record Delta Powergrade Brake Levers w/ White hoods
* Campagnolo C Record Crankset 172.5mm Arms, 53/39 Chainrings
* Campagnolo C Record Delta Brakeset Front/Rear Calipers
* Campagnolo C Record Cassette 8 Speed 13-23
* Campagnolo C Record Front Derailleur Double/Braze-On
* Campagnolo C Record Rear Derailleur 8 Speed
* Campagnolo C Record Headset 1" Threaded
* Campagnolo C Record Bottom Bracket w/Bearing Boot (not pictured)
* Campagnolo C Record Hubset laced to Omega Strada Hardox Rims 28/32 front/rear
* Campagnolo C Record Skewers Front/Rear
* Campagnolo C Record Aero Seatpost 27.2mm
* Rohloff SLT 99 Chain 8 Speed
* Campagnolo Biodinamica 900 Bottle Cages Pair

52cm Guerciotti - 80s classic - Red with All Campy - $700 (Westford)

Date: 2010-06-14, 6:35PM EDT
Reply to: see below

52cm classic Italian red frame - All Campagnolo throughout (Campy is low-end, but it'still Campy!). Very few miles (400 if that!) -- Unless a bike has been in a museum, I doubt you'll find a 25 year-old bike with less miles!

1980s equipment as expected - Sew-up wheels, downtube shifters, platform pedals (needs straps). If you like the latest click shifting and auto-whatever, this bike is not for you.

The frame is in beautiful shape -- no rust, couple of minor rock dings, but you really need to look for them. The paint and gold trim work is perfect. The Campy stuff looks like new. I have two like-new saddles for it -- Concour America and Avocet women's gel. Nice new yellow Cinelli cork tape. Photos do not do the bike justice -- This bike shines. First picture makes it look pink -- it is not. Second picture shows it to be more red. It is red.

Rear rim is dinged (pothole) and needs to be replaced. Rear spokes, Campy hub, and freewheel are all fine. Note that this bike has no tires mounted -- My old trusty DeRosa uses up all my sew-ups. Everything else on the bike works like the day it was built. It should with such low miles.

Add your clincher wheels and clip-in pedals and this bike is a perfect PMC ride. A few years back, I had a buddy fly in to ride the PMC and he borrowed this bike. He loved it -- all 192 miles! Typical old-school Italian racing bike -- Very good performance and all-day comfort.

Nice Bike, works but needs handlebar tape and a good cleaning.

and the toptube is 34.5" high. $50 firm/cash.

Trek 1100 55cm Good Condition - $160 (Cambridge)

Date: 2010-06-14, 12:38PM EDT
Reply to: sale-vqx7w-1791315437@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

This 1993 Trek 1100 has BRAND NEW tires (Vredestein Ricorso racing), has been well maintenanced, and shows minimal wear and tear. It needs a few repairs, however: a new rear wheel and a new seat. Otherwise it's in really good condition. Alternately, I would be willing to sell the frame and fork for $100. These bikes list at anywhere from $150 to $500. Would look great as a fixed gear, or really workable as a road bike.

Lotus Cyclone Road Bike – teal & black - $175 (pottstown)

Date: 2010-06-14, 11:27PM EDT
Reply to: sale-5sd63-1792519841@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

30” stand over height good for 5’7” – 6’1” – made in Japan. 12 speed, mid to late -1980 road bike that used to be comparable to Bianchi. Received rave reviews from consumer reports back then and won Olympic gold in 1992 (not this particular bike). I bought this with the idea of riding with my crazy ass triathlete friend. I had it fixed up at Tri-county bikes in Pottstown https://www.tricountybicycles.net/ and started riding on a trainer in the winter only to find out ice hockey took a toll on my back that didn’t really make biking worth it.

I believe everything is original down to the bike pump & suntour cyclone parts, except for the new bar tape, tires and tubes, brake cables, and housing. According to the decals it’s made of Tange No.1 double-butted cro-mo seamless tubing. I have additional pics if you need them. I’ve spent too much money on this bike and it needs to leave my house so I can support my new found drinking habit.

Call Ed at 484-366-5258 or email if you have more info on the bike or love it so much you would like to pay well over the asking price.

Columbus OH: tandem question

There's a tandem advertised on craig'slist, iron horse, tango model, 26" wheels, $275. If it fits, is it worth the price? I'm reasonably strong, but no racer (nor desiring to be), am rather skinny and lightweight (150 lbs.). My wife is also pretty light, and I'll likely ride it with my children more often than her in the short term.

I'd appreciate any thoughts on this, as I'm completely new to tandems.
Thanks,
Mike

Miyata 1000 Touring Bike 50 cm

Miyata 1000 50cm - $350 on Chicago CL

https://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/bik/1793050321.html

Sheldon Brown thought it was "the best touring bike". If you don't know what it is Google it. Specs are online. Check out Sheldon Brown's write up. Good condition, rides great. 50cm frame. Mirror and rack. Reads "one thousand" on frame, not 1000.

For sale is an old benotto road bike that is good structurally but it needs help cosmetically. there are not dents or cracks. the paint is not good needs to be restored. great project bike. size 57cm. please let me know if you want it. I know its doesn't look killer but I think that is a good price, if it was cherry it would be worth double or more.
thank you
