"Italian made Fiori road bike (Amalfi model) Good condittion.Paid over $700 several years ago, Asking $175 OBO"

I think my GF would strangle me if I bought it (apparently two is enough ) but it looks like an ok deal (I wouldn't pay 175 but...) from the little searching around I did looks like Fiori were mostly badged Noroco bikes (I think...?) still someone might see the value in it.

Not going to last much (maybe, it could, because the description says nothing about it) but here is a fillet-brazed Schwinn with a Brooks saddle for $140... in Boston...
Could be a sports tourer or a super sports, I think that it is an earlier Sports Tourer, but do not quote me on that

Sure feels like 75% of bikes posted in this thread are from the Boston area (I know that's been said before)!

I'll throw in a LA post to counter balance the Boston posts (though I have no idea if this is any good!)

https://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst...793978005.html

I have this Bianchi road bike, measures 56cm. It has Shimano 600 with Modolo components. Everything works great, it recently had its tune-up. Brand new tires, inner tubes, bar tape, gear cables, etc.
Asking price: $350 or best offer

One more just for fun.

Miyata road bike. 58 cm. 710 model. Red - $245 (Arcadia)

https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv...793658292.html

The 710 was high up in the Miyata line.

This excellent Japanese built cro-mo lightweight steel frame
is known for a silky smooth ride.

picked up this bike today. Got him down a bit, but the bike definitely seemed worth the cash, and seemed to defy the preconception about Fiori being lower end norcos. heres some pics, columbus tubing, some campy on it, and a blast to ride.

Antique 1917 Columbia Men's Bicycle - $250 (New Paltz, NY)

https://hudsonvalley.craigslist.org/bik/1793586620.html
Date: 2010-06-15, 3:36PM EDT
Reply to: sale-sbxxq-1793586620@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

I'm selling an antique men's Columbia bike made in 1917. I was told it was made for Columbia and never had a head badge on it. It is in excelent shape for being almost a century old. The pictures don't really capture how beautifull this bike is, it has amazing patina. What looks like rust on the frame and fenders is actually very old paint. The wheels are wooden wrapped in metal, and are exceptionally straight (the front is nearly perfect). It's rare to find them in this condition. The bike has the original New Departure rear hub, and skip tooth chain/ sprockets. The leather seat is in great shape too- the leather is still plyable, and you can faintly see the brand logo on the side. Everything on the bike moves and works as it should, except the brakes so you will need to take the rear hub apart and clean it. Otherwise the bike only needs tires and grips to be ridden. Or you could restore it to original, but I think it would be a shame to lose the patina and history of this bike. I do have a fear luggage rack that could go with it but it's not original and has different paint/ patina.

I have more/ larger pictures of the bike on my flickr page here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/speedan...7624158100641/

Asking $250 or best reasonable offer, or might trade for a good working mountain bike of equal value. Thanks.

I cut way back on cycling when our first child was born. He's 13 now, and it's clearly past time to reduce my road bikes hanging in the garage from three to two.
This is a quality, lightweight ride with no issues. 54 cm frame. All Dura Ace components - including brakes and cranks. Vintage 6 gears in back, two chain wheels in front.
Top quality Mavic rims, true.
Clipless pedals in photo not included.
Price $400 firm. email or call Ken 781-856-2963
We are about 20 miles southwest of Boston right off rte. 95. Thanks.

Thanks a bunch, an old buddy of mine started it a few months back but it's picking up speed recently. You should definitely check out #5 on that madlib post, it's a mix of his 1990-2000 stuff. Very fun.

If I lived in Boston I would buy this bike in a second... A little pricey though. Try to haggle him down to $350?

He said firm, but I'm in no position to buy another bike. It's a downgrade from my current road bike and I wouldn't lock either to a post on the street so there's no point in owning it. I DO have a garage full of bikes already haha. My family is a bunch of fanatics.
