Somebody grab that; don't let it slip away...
Those turkey levers aren't original, unless the LBS peeled off the hoods and installed them. Gotta wonder how someone who would choose such a thing handled the half-step gearing.

More money ($325) than I'd want to pay but frame is in nice condition and with the safety levers probably as issued for components

Bianchi Trofeo 57cm Ultegra - $600, San Luis Obispo

Really nice-looking bike, in my size. I'm of course concerned about the replacement fork (CRASH?). Not helping are what look like scrape marks on the lower head tube lug, though that *could* just be from the cable rubbing. All's I can say is, I'd feel a whole lot more confident about this bike if it still had the original fork.

^^^^ Seller calls an Al fork on a lugged steel frame an "upgrade". So first thing I'd ask is, can I also get the original fork?

I know these Schwinn Voyageurs have a certain fan club. Are the chromed models hard to find? Anyhow, a pretty slick looking example came up for sale, and I thought I’d give a heads up.
I do know the seller personally, and I can vouch for him. He’s a good dude. An honest, professional business man in the Eugene community, and he has a long running love for C&V, as well as a killer collection to prove it.
That said, he does tend to list his bikes on the high side of market value imo. And in my experience, he doesn’t allow a ton lot of wiggle room, but he has come down a little bit on the two or three bikes I’ve purchased from him in the past.
I also don’t know if he has any interest in shipping or not, but it could be worth asking about if you’ve been looking for a chromed Voyageur in this size (57 cm). Also on that note, as much as I’d like to help under normal circumstances, facilitating a transaction is not something I can do at this time.

"Tall people get all the great deals", part #137 . But from the amount of seat post showing, this may not have been quite tall enough for the previous owner, so I guess it's all relative.

(I'm never sure if we're supposed to only post killer deals here, or just nice bikes regardless of price, this one seems closer to the former)

I try to post pretty much anything that's interesting or at least nicer than your average Craigslist bike boom 10 speed.
Thankfully for me it's pretty uncommon to see bikes my size, so I'm happy as a clam to post anything less than 60cm. And even then, I've gotten pretty good at convincing myself that my collection doesn't need to be any bigger

I think with the type of people around here, a lot of the time the really killer deals don't get posted because the person who found it just buys it for themselves

Miyata 512 Comp. - $100
I can't post links or pictures yet, but if you remove the spaces it will take to the ad. Looks like an interesting one for a smaller rider and not a bad price for triple butted Miyata assuming it fits and you don't mind the weird wheel size thing:

Bianchi road bike - $200 [Ft. Collins, CO] link
Nice bike here.
Was bought new at a reputable bike shop in Milan Italy.
Was brought over here by an Italian guy who went to CU Boulder for school in the early 90s has really nice Italian components.
Rear wheel needs help. One spoke needs replaced. Other than that it’ll be ready to ride.

I don't recognize the model, perhaps one of the Bianchi experts would. Looks mid-level to me from here.
The Milan bike shop sticker is cool and consistent with it being an import.

The Miyata in Cedar Rapids was built as a "Terry Geometry" frame. Front wheel is 650c (back is 700). Its in very good condition and should be cross posted onto the recent thread on C&V about bikes for smaller riders. $100 for that is nice price.
There is also a really nice Raleigh Competition in very nice shape for $250 and a very passable Trek 520 for $180.
im using a phone so perhaps someone else can add photos

Panasonic Track Bike - $600 [Denver, CO] link
Panasonic track bike from the 1980's (real track machine).
Handmade steel lugged frame (tange tubing) is in good condition considering the age.
There is a small (1/16-1/8") hole drilled in each chain stay near the bridge that were there when I bought the frame nearly 20 years ago where they have no negative impact on the frame.
The bike is currently set up with an aluminum front fork to accept a brake but I have the original track fork included with the sale.

Very cool, and I love me some Panasonic bikes.
But too expensive and too small for me.

I was actually looking at that Competition too. It's my size, and I'm very tempted. Unfortunately, I'm just getting ready to move and I'm not sure I should be adding one more bike to the chaos that is coming. Otherwise, I would probably be making a trip for it.
