Overpriced, but it's a nice (my) size and it has Morgan Grips! If you've never had to install those, don't ask me to relive the experience for you.

I'm pretty far form being a Raleigh expert, but this looks like a nice lugged frame. I wonder if the Carlton hoods are original.

Raleigh, Schmaleigh
I know nothing about Raleighs. No matter. Nervex lugs on 531 DB tubes, components are better than free. And pretty good to boot. If that's not a front end problem at the top tube, this bike is seriously underpriced. Nice find!

I dunno, nice lugs but a Competition typically has at least SOME chrome on it, I see none on this frame. Bad repaint, I dunno. I think the top tube is OK, it's just bad lighting.
This one has been for sale forever at $100 in SLO, but it's a Super Course. It still has the original paint, I wish someone would buy it, I may have to:

A hunnerd bucks? And they say box stores are selling out of bikes? (I find it hard to believe, even in this disposable age, that the bike is still avaiable.)

Nice Suntour Superbe bits should polish right up. Looks like a lot of quality for the price.

After looking over the catalog for this generation, it does have nice components. Would buying this to strip and transfer parts be sacrilege? If the frame would sell for $50 I'd come out way ahead on $... but how would my karma be? Seller reckons frame is 19" btw. Not yet sure which measurement that is.
I can't help you on the karma problem, though I would not approve stripping a rideable frame.

1988 Centurion Ironman Master Dave Scott $300
Hi all, new to this forum, new to vintage bikes (or buying them, anyway...), so hope this is the right thread, etc.. Found this on Indy CL today, looks in fairly good shape to the untrained eye, but I wonder if I should worry about the paint chips. What do people think? Thanks in advance.
