"As is" makes me a little scared given the uh, track record of those Suntour Mountec derailleurs but that's a seriously good price for a High Sierra.

Decent looking Schwinn Circuit here in Elvisland. Normally I'd be very happy to facilitate but unfortunately am unable at the moment.

this was $45 last night, and it took me a lot of restraint to not ask my friend to pick it up. at $75 it's easier to say no.
i had one of these a while ago, and it was a great bike, it was just way too small.

Vintage Peugeot Competition frame with parts Reynolds 531 steel - $75 (Durham)
1980s Peugeot Competition frame with a few parts, would make a nice foundation for a single speed or fixed gear. Frame appears to be 58cm. Nice Reynolds 531 steel. Decent shape but dirty.

You might think that is code for "Pilot Fish Bob bought it out from under you"; however, PFB is a standup guy and would never do such.

^^^^^ Actual link to that Circuit - https://memphis.craigslist.org/bik/d...114425395.html
Poor bike has been... er... "vacated" of its original Sante gruppo, all replaced by a dog's breakfast of Suntour Sprint and Shimano 600/DA, and some middling Shimano brake levers. Probably a wash, quality-wise, but I'll bet someone cashed in selling the complete Sante gruppo, and then just dove into the parts bin to rebuild..

@tyler_fred Hehe, my MO is not to list here if I have my eye on a bike - but my stable is too full and the last thing I need is another. In fact, about to list a few on CL, maybe a couple of the nicer ones on the Forums but it'll take time to sort all of that out. I'm juggling like crazy around here lately...
@madpogue I noticed after I posted that many of the tasty bits had been substituted - makes the price somewhat optimistic in my book especially considering the Memphis market, though the seller mentions offers later in the ad so there's likely room to haggle. Not worth it to me even if I could take it but others may be motivated.

Here’s a nice looking Quattro Assi for $400. I know almost nothing about the brand. Both the seller and an old C&V thread claim the frame was built by Tommasini.

I've got a pretty awesome Ciocc road frame, it's an '83 with the original fork. The frame and fork have been used. I road this bike for years with it's original parts until I decided I needed to upgrade. So I pieced together the bike as it is now. Newer Gatorskins, Dura-ace hubs laced to Mavic rims (these spin forever), full Sram mishmash group. Rival front and rear derailleur, rival rear shifter, Force cranks, Apex front shifter, Ultegra seat post, Cinelli stem, newish bar tape. This bike is great, I took it on a 25 mile ride this weekend. Just glides up hills.
57 center to center seat tube X 56.5 center to center top tube.
Ciocc Roadbike SRAM group - $500 (Somerville)

and for a more C+V appropriate Japanese bike...

Selling my 1985 Team Fuji road bike. 12 speed with Shimano 600 components. Original Suntour brake levers and Suntour Sprint crank. Outfitted with Look Arc pedals. 23mm Continental Gatorskins mounted on original rear wheel and aftermarket front wheel (front wheel was missing when I got the bike 10 years ago). Tires have tons of life left. Paint is a bit rough in some places, but overall the bike looks good. It rides well and is quite comfy with the chromoly steel frame. I have really enjoyed this bike, but I just don't around to riding it too much anymore. I believe it's a 56cm frame, but not 100% sure.
Cash only. Asking $275, but open to offers.

Too Small
Italian Faggin (Fah-geen) Campione del Mondo frame and parts 56cm - $60 (Duhram)
Posted 2020-04-27 14:09
"Nice Italian steel frame, 56cm based on my measurement. Don't see too many of these. Good candidate for restoration. It's dirty and has surface rust, nothing structural. I'd probably have it blasted and repainted myself.
Pickup in east Durham or the Briar Creek area."

Is there a similar thread to this for non-C&V bikes? Every now and then I see an interesting local deal that I'm inclined to post here, but then decide it's too new.

Usually I don't take a second look at French bikes because I don't want the headache of French sized parts.
This was no exception until "Le Champion" on the top tube caught my eye. Might be ok for $90.
