I think so. I'd take issue with a "memorial" to someone who's still alive, though.

Somec w/pantographed components

In need of a project? This one is on the cusp. Esp, if like me, you appreciate vintage panto. Seller says the price is firm, but who knows... There are too many "issues" to be grabbed by a weekend warrior. 1) stuck seatpost 2)rust on frame 3) wheels? 4)Shimano replacements (why???) Seventy-five dollars, (m̶a̶y̶b̶e̶ ̶f̶i̶f̶t̶y̶) less, and I'd be telling you I bought another project.🤦
I'm not even going to ask....

Sub-$1000 Colnago. I maintain that you need to spend at least a grand to get a decent one, unless you get really lucky.

If not a Celeste Bianchi, this is probably the only color I'd consider.

This has shown up a few times, and I keep hoping the price will drop to $300 or so - high end mixtes just don't show up too often.

70's French Motobecane Grande Jubilee 20" mixte - $350 (renton)

https://seattle.craigslist.org/est/b...124097687.html

Top of the line in its day and in wonderful condition. The work has been done with new tires and tubes and brake and gear cables. This has been set up as a leisure rider with wider leather seat and upright bars (convenient ratchet thumb shifters mounter near brake levers). This can also be a serious tour or Randonneur Bike with longer wheel base, 531 steel tubing and beefed up rear stays for weight. Grand Jubilee is a rare model and the mixte ever rarer, there simply are not a lot of these out there.

Cyclone II, Tange Champion 1 tubing and a common size - given how fast bikes are flying off the shelves due to the pandemic, I'm surprised this is still available, but this looks like a fantastic old Centurion.

1983 Centurion Turbo 54cm Very Good Condition - $300 (NW)

https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/...122029618.html

I’ve got a 1983 Centurion Turbo for sale. It’s in very good condition. The tires are new. It’s all cleaned up and well adjusted. The size is 54cm. I’m 5’9 and it fits me okay, but it would probably be good for 5’9 or less. Email me if interested, thanks.

Interesting Medici Pro-Strada, 60cm, $300 starting bid. It might be owned by a BF member. It's in the Medici serial number spreadsheet with a (broken) link into BF. It's built-up differently than most Pro-Stradas you see, with Dura-Ace 7400 derailleurs and crank, and Scott Superbrakes. It also has an interesting paint job.

1908s Medici Pro-Strada Vintage Bike

I'd jump on it just to have a "project" bike I can tear apart and put back from scratch but it's "pickup only" so that's not going to work.
