Another Nice Tandem!
In the same vein as JaccoW 's beautiful Gazelle Tandem Project I found this lovely lass: https://westernmass.craigslist.org/b...139178621.html
I was going to run over the the Berkshires this afternoon and pick this up, but my better judgement prevailed. I just have way too many irons in the fire right now for me to take on another project. AND what a project this would be! I would have completely gone through this bike, and added all new everything, new powdercoat, added bottle cage bosses, brazed on some canti-brake bosses, etc, not to mention decking it out with Phil BBs (French cups, of course), and VO-everything else including cranks. This bike would be really great tandem for me and the Missus, but like I said - I'm just too busy with customer bikes right now. Nicely-done forged dropouts on this frame, and if I am correct in judging the era in which this bike came from, it would be a custom frame. Oh, and by the way... The seller was going to give this to me for $150, so keep that in mind, whoever decides to jump on this. I just KNOW some of you NYC boys will want to ride out to the country, lol!

It would take some work, but this might be able to be turned into an aero-mount cable stop? I dunno.
ebay listing
Note that the front of the mount, where the cable stop would insert, is far too small. You'd have to file away a good amount of material, and use some step-down ferrules. Plus you'd probably want to file/sand down the sides where the levers are currently mounted so that they're smooth. Who knows if the end result would be satisfactory, but it could be an interestingheadache project!
edit: Wait a tic, you could just turn them around 180 degrees and be fine. Might look a little funny.

That looks bigger than 53cm to me...
It looks to be in great shape though. And cool saddle.

Thanks!
so was her measure of 22 3/8 wrong? Never knew if it was CTC or CTT? I have a Raleigh International which is a 22.5 CTT and this looked just like it comparing head tubes. So pretty surprised at it being a 55?
her standover of 31.5 compares to mine of 32.
if you’re sure she measured right I guess let it go. If not I live close by if you need eyeballs.

well, this is many things, but it's definitely not a "1997" Centurion. Semi-Pro, maybe? Champion butted tubes were on the 70s higher end models, IIRC, same with the Cyclone mech if it's original.
Nice work with the bars and horn, by the way.
