Oh my, does craigslist deliver.
Schwinn Criss Cross with the fabled suntour chainstay derailleur mount. Beyond that, the bike actually looks to be in pretty good condition.

Not something I've personally run across, but I've never ridden one of this style of bikes, either, so who knows? With Havnoonian, I'm kind of convinced that it's more of a stylistic signature note at this point.

That's a Randy Smolenski feature. I've seen a few of them. They are almost all setup that way.
Randy Smolenski was a small custom builder in Grands Rapids. He helped a lot of young racers in the area, sometimes even giving them frames so they're have good equipment to race on. I'm not sure why Dale Brown doesn't have a page on the Classic Rendezvous site. There are a couple active CR members with beautiful examples of his craft.

Randy Smolenski main
I will see about getting more examples of Randy's work. I believe the one bike featured belongs to Jason Perkins. It's a stunner.
So it goes.

SC MkII frame/fork - $20. Assuming no hidden issues (one non-DS pic) a no-brainer. If I were near St. Louis I'd grab it for some unforeseen future project.

Gotta be one of the more unusual dork discs. It, and the roller-cams, and the silver thumbies, round out a nice "industrial" look.
'86 must be in the ball park, anyway, from the bit of head badge one can see.

I love the humor in the description "The kind of bike George Washington might have ridden to the fireworks show."

HAH. I can't believe this bike is back up for sale, and with the same pictures. I feel like the price was lower before. Miyata's cachet has improved in the interim so maybe someone might actually buy it.

Is it just me, or does this look larger than 59cm?
Would these be 27" or 700c wheels for this year?
(In other words, is it really my size?)

Pretty original looking 59cm Grand Jubilee in New Hampshire:

All the signs of a late 70's model: Vitus 172 frame, Suntour Cyclone ders.... I would chase this, but I already have a red one from 1974 and I am trying (SO HARD) to limit new bikes coming in...
