I have reduced the asking price on this bike in hopes of getting it into the hands of a enthusiast who will appreciate its quality and rarity.

Univega Catalog

Did anyone from here get this Univega catalog? I wanted it but $30+ was too much for me. I would love to see some univega catalog scans though!

https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=230490559805

Univega Owners Guide & Catalog for Custom 10

Univega bike collectors take note. Up for auction is the 1981 product catalog for Univega Bicycles along with the Owner's Guide for the model Custom Ten bicycle. Both booklets are in excellent condition and in full color.

Maybe they were in a separate catalog? I would love to have the spec sheets for all the road models from the early to mid eighties though. Apparently someone else is looking for those catalogs too since that auction went for over 30 dollars.

Bridgestone MB-0 (MB-Zip) in Lawrence, KS

Just wanted to let anyone interested know that the pawn shop at 6th and Colorado has a pretty nice condition and (I believe) all-original MB-Zip (though the parts on these were so eclectic that it's hard for me to tell for sure if thy are all OEM).

Personally, I think the price they're asking ($600) is way too high, but I understand these are highly sought-after as far as vintage MTBs go, so maybe it's worth it to someone. For what it's worth, it's been there for over a year (saw it last summer before I knew what an MB-0 was and thought they were REALLY crazy asking $600 for a random old mountain bike), so you may or may not be able to haggle with whoever runs the place.

I've bought a few frames from this guy - all described accurately and shipped quickly. This one, though - you'll need either a cottered crank set or else a way to convert it to 3 piece. My bet is that it closes without a bid.

Reply to: sale-6umzg-1822776933@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

I have a 1970's vintage Colnago bike in very good condition for its age. It has just been serviced and new tires put on. I have owned this bike for over 30 years and no longer ride so I need to sell it. If fully restored it would be worth double asking price. Priced at $500, call Peter at 925-377-5737 or email at svdestiny@yahoo.com

Fiji Touring Series IV - $90 (Denver)

I don't know too much about this bike other than I bought it used in Texas. Rides fine. Good brakes, tires and pedal straps, I recently replaced the handlebar padding and added the Avocet seat. Nothing wrong with it, I just have two other bikes and hardly ride this one. Its just taking up space. 90obo. looking to get rid of it this weekend.

looks like an original AD Vent Noir (the black kind) that's been fixied

56cm vintage Austro-Daimler fixed/SS w/Reynolds 531 frame - $275 (Denver)

former bicycle mechanic with a very cool and very rare 56cm vintage Austrian-made Austro-Daimler fixie / single speeder for sale

This bike has the top of the line Reynolds 531 tubing, ultra rare and lightweight 175mm Stronglight Alloy cranks, vintage Shimano Dura-Ace brake-sets, and BRAND NEW Aero single speed wheelset. If you want to save money and buy something cheaper with a heavy and unresponsive mild steel frame (ie; most Miyatas, Nishikis, Raleighs, Schwinns, Treks, Gitanes, Merciers, Puegots, etc) then look elsewhere. This bike is the REAL deal, very rare, in good shape, with one of the best frames ever made combined with new single speed / fixed specific wheels.

I'm around in Denver this weekend to show the bicycle. Please email or text me @ 720-xxx-xxxx to set up a time to check it out. I will consider cash + partial trades for modern higher end MTB bicycle parts.
and no, I won't consider a cash offer of $100 and you can't even build a bike like this for $100 or even buy a new set of alloy single speed / fixie wheels...so don't waste either of our time with crazy lowball offers

happy 4th of July everybody
