Edit: I might take a look at it for potential buyers anyway. There's a lot of scratches there. Need to see if any of them are problem spots. Back hub/rim 36H, front 32H. One of the hubs might not be Campy.

I cannot count the number of nice classic bikes I've seen with brake cable housings all kinked and folded over like that because someone thought routing them in front of the bars was tradition. I know an LBS owner who swears that's the only way. It seems that suspending logic and good sense is in vogue these days.

Ended up giving the guy a call, because, why not? Seemed like a nice guy. It was a '64 Specilissima and it was sold a couple days back! He said the Gitane was a 60s model, really ornate lugs, size 54 or so.
