The last couple Sekai Champion 1 frames I've seen posted here were said to be 5000 models by @T-Mar. The Champion #2 frames were 4000s.

Too bad about the mismatched wheels.

What's weird is that the wheels *are* matched except that one is anodized and one isn't.

Wonder about the story behind that one. Someone bought a replacement Araya rim and forgot to check the pics carefully?

The one thing that makes me wonder is the serial number - M2 21920 doesn't really match Miki's format. If it's a high-end Sekai from that era and it's not a Miki, I could see it being a 5K.

Given that 5Ks are really rare, though, and that I've read vague things that chromed lugs tend to indicate a 4K, I'm not sure, but Sekai's aren't the best documented bikes out there.

e) also read about Sekai 5Ks possibly being in the ultra-rare and ultra-light (.6/.3/.6 !) Tange Champion Pro, rather than Champion 1, which would make it flexy indeed.

Who wants to do some Bianchi verification/identification? (This was listed as $1,000 initially, but changed to best offer)

e) best guess: 1994 Bianchi Reparto Corse EL?

90s Bianchi columbus EL (Lynnwood)

https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/b...254612528.html

Mint condition. 58cm frame. Has not been ridden in 16 yrs. Has upgraded wheels, also Comes with original wheelset. All Campagnolo components. Saddle was replaced 16 yrs ago. Other than a few very small paint chips and one very small scratch on neck bike is awesome. Steel frame survivor. OBO

Thatís a very nice bike. My guess would be later 90ís if the 9 speed group is original. I wonder if thatís the original wheelset also included in the background of pic #1. At any rate, Iíd think the original wheels would be high quality too. $1000 isnít completely out of line. If I really wanted it, Iíd see if I could get it for $800.

Beauty shot of the rims, and yep, they're nice.

The person is not responsive to email. Either good interest from others, or i expect replies too much.

It would fit me with a 10cm stem, but I've bought 2 other bikes in last 10days.

Actually I have retired some of the lesser active riders to parts donors.
Frejus&Follis relegated to future city bike conversions. Pinarello Record fork project on hold.
Mostly wheelsets and saddles removed for other needs.
And 10 sets of Look Delta clipless pedals should be enough.

To make room for incoming bike upgrades/frameset builds!.

N+1+1+1 = worthy Winter stimulus.

that Romic is unique and nice.
american builder, now deceased.
i missed a few deceased builders when their bikes were cheaper.

Thanks too much Brent!

Though quite busy these past few days, I did see your post around noon today, and figured it would be gone already.

Turned out it was just a mile from my house and the guy still had it.

The bike has been his project apparently, but not yet ridden. It had a 9-speed cassette on the OEM wheelset that he had apparently fitted, and still needs calipers and of course bar tape and full tune-up.
Might be just a tad long in the reach for me with a 57cm toptube and 74-degree seat tube angle, but I will have to test it out as I am long-legged enough to ride any 58cm bike comfortably.
The headtube angle is a really steep 75-degrees, which makes this very much a pure racing bike. D-A components all hail from 1994.
Funny that two years back I acquired a 55cm Davidson Impulse from a bike club raffle, though it is a different model with different geometry.

No dings in the Stiletto's tubing, the paint is nice and the young 6'2" seller seemed like a good guy. I may be selling him a gravel bike.

Brent thanks again!

Does anyone know anything about this bike? There's no info in the ad and I can't find any info online either. Looks like nice lugwork, but can't see what components it has. I've texted the seller, waiting to hear back.

Not a bad looking bike. Has a Tecate/Ensenada sticker. Shimano 600?

Heard back from the seller - Tange 2 tubes, Shimano 600 components. It's not that I really need it, I just love Japanese steel and am a fan of garish '80's paint jobs.

@dddd if this doesnít work out for you, keep my in mind. 58cm ctc seat tube and 57cm ctc top tube is the next stop in my gradual climb up the frame size chain.

Wow! What a way to start a new year! A gorgeous Davidson for 90 bucks!

It is such a great colour, I would never have guessed that it was green from the pictures.

Didn't Diamondback use straight blades on their Ascent models?
