This looks like a pretty charming bike for the Boston loop-frame fans. They're also selling a '48 Dawn Tourist.

It's the twin of my 1935 Raleigh, though with the original seat, looks like, and minus the quadrant shifter and definitely a little more dinged. Still, its a stylish ride--love those angles!--and for $175?

RALEIGH TEAM USA 58-59CM - $430 (san jose south)

Reply to: sale-rjvgx-1862804202@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

58 to 59cm red and blue colors. Reynolds 555. This was the best steel frame at the time. . It has the high end Shimano set up at the time. pedal, derailleurs, shifters are no joke. Firm on price. IF you do your RESEARCH on EBAY, this bike goes for 550.00 to 600.00. So, I think as far as price I am fair. Remember, this is Top of the Line. Quality steel at the time! 430.00 obo.

This eBay seller has an interesting approach. His auction for this bike with a BIN of $500 and starting bid of $250 didn't attract any bids, so he relisted it with a BIN of $1000 and starting bid of $600. Possibly he is onto something with his Lotus/Cinelli link, but where is he going to find a buyer who'll pay up for it on that basis? And he's still a 0 feedback seller!

https://cgi.ebay.com/Lotus-Competitio...item41516c4cfa

1984 Lotus Competition bicycle, Oxide Green
1984 Lotus Competition bicycle, Oxide Green, 58 cm, Complete Campagnolo Record groupo including the seat post and rear drop-outs. Frame is Columbus SL double butted Chromoly steel, 18 lb. total weight, Saddle: Trico Sport, Cinelli 44 cm bars and stem, Rims/tires: Araya Red/ brand new Continental Giro gum-wall tubulars. I measured the top tube inaccurately and reported it incorrectly previously. The top tube is 58 cm from the center of the head tube to the center of the seat tube. If anyone viewing this knows how to get in contact with Professor Ernst Star of Hofstra / Temple Universities, I would appreciate the tip.
This bike is in very good condition with minor scratches near the left side rear drop-out, main, down and head tubes. Everything works perfectly and it has been completely serviced by Eddy's Bike Shop in Montrose, OH yearly. Zack and his crew can vouch for the condition of this bicycle. The minor scratches are the only reason this bike is not listed as mint. This was my first serious road bike which was designed with the 45 degree angles like all the top European race frames of this era. This bike is still beautiful and fast! It was manufactured by the Tsunoda Bicycle Corporation of Nagoya, Japan (founded in 1926, still in business) utilizing Italian Frame geometry and materials. There is a very high probability that this is one of the few Lotus high end bikes that was manufactured in Italy in conjunction with Cinelli. However, this has yet to be confirmed, but I will update the listing as the information presents itself. It was not manufactured in Taiwan where Lotus relocated its manufacturing in the late 80s after experiencing financial hardships. It was voted, "Bike of the Year," at the time of its release by Cycling magazine. It also received rave reviews in the 1985 issue of consumer reports.
The shipping calculation may not be the most accurate, but once I have a zip code I'll clarify the exact amount that will be added to the ending bid, so that it can be checked and confirmed by the buyer. I am willing to ship world-wide at the expense of the purchaser through UPS and FEDEX.

ps: Sell my Turbo??? Not until one in a 54cm comes along!

Hefty price tag. Very cool.

HETCHINS Track Bike ~ Full Campagnolo ~ 1969 Vintage - $2100 (Hemet, Ca)
https://orangecounty.craigslist.org/bik/1865998114.html

Offered for your consideration is this
Hetchins
Vade Mecum

TRACK ( Fixed Gear) Bike
This is a 1969 Hetchins Vade Mecum VM1 TRACK Bike. With the original paint and decals and it is in excellent condition. It has has a 21" (53.5cm) seat tube measured center-to-top and a 21" top tube. The stand-over height is 31 3/8" because track bikes have higher BB's. The wheelbase is 37 1/2". This is a very agressive design intended for track use. The components are a full Campagnolo Nuovo Record Track Gruppo with 165 mm cranks. This bike is equipped with an Inch Pitch drive train (very cool). A 24 T, 151 B.C.D. chainring and an 8 T cog and an inch pitch Regina "block" chain. That's the equivelent of 48 x 16. The seat is a Brooks Professional that dates to 1965 that has a good patina and the correct shape. The Bars are Cinelli Steel Campeone Del Mondo in 38 cm and the stem is a 95 mm Baged Steel Cinelli. It's just about perfect and that includes the paint and decals. Please look at the pictures I'm sure that you will like what you see.
$2100 will do it

Damn...Where was that a few days ago (before I bought the Sampson)? Of course, there's no guarantee the seller would ship it...at least that's what I'm gonna tell myself.

YELLOW JERSEY? 61cm Titanium W/Dura-Ace - $875 (Parker)

Killer bike for the price!
61cm Fuji Titanium bike built by Sandvick in the USA!
Dura Ace components
spare wheels
Ride it like it is or upgrade

It's gotta be at least a 1991 if it's a Sandvik. The finish of the steel fork is distinctive.

The preceding model years are more awesome, but who knows about the alloy used.

Being non-local, and somewhat of an unknown quantity, at $875 its too rich for my blood...

Not my area of expertise, but this vintage mixte "Dusika" caught my eye. Nice Nervex lugs, Reynolds 531, and cool old Huret pieces (although pricey with shipping from Romania):

here is a nice one for you Trek fans. https://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/bik/1867174823.html

I have a nice vintage trek bike. It is one of the last ones made in the United States.
It's really neat it's just that it needs a little TLC and it's not my size (frame is really tall). Looking for a road bike
that is 50cm-54cm, 20in-22in. Cash is also welcome. I'm also willing to put in money on my
part if your bike is nicer. only $175
