Not a brand I've heard of- ad claims this was a rebadged Diamondback for a discount dealer a la Nashbar/Performance. In any case, decent price for what looks like a mostly original Cr-Mo 80s MTB (apart from the saddle, though it might be nice for commuting!)

If you have a good wheelset, this might be a catch by Canadian pricing standards (pedals need to go)
Raleigh M Trax 100 (58)
CA$150

**I used an online translator so might not be exact **
Raleigh M Trax 100 (58) Except for original stickers, frame and painting are small jewelry. RSX 7 v rear derailleur. Sugino 175. Potence and handlebars Cinelli. R.S.P. tube (Raleigh special products) Cromoly Handmade in England. If you have what you need to pimp it eat any equivalent Marinoni. Wheels don't come with it. I have a new 7 v tape that fit on it. Maybe a pair of clean wheels that would do your business. Write that we jase, but no, the bike is not to give away 🙄

https://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/bi...274062933.html1980s Gitane Champion French racing bike - $200 (Jamaica Plain)
A beautiful vintage racing bike with a cotterless crank, steel frame with original logos, and original parts (from what I can tell) including cloth tape bindings, cotterless crank, and single pull brakes.
In decent shape--there's some rust, some small punctures in the leather seat cover. The frame is straight without any bends or dents (some minor nicks and scratches though). Could use a general tune up, a brake job (a little frozen on both sides), and some cleaning, but should be a great and unique commuter or collector’s piece with some love put into it.

Never seen a 'Traut with such ornate lugs, but it's clearly legit. Hope you can clean and get this back on the road with minor drama. totally a worthwhile project!

Joe Breeze, Otis Guy, Grant Petersen, and Tom himself rode Ritchey Palo Alto tandems back in the day, built by Tom when he was a very young man before the Mtn Bike days...too bad about the repaint but rare chance to own one of the greatest road tandems made (not mine, no connection).

I wonder if it is that is one of the costum jobs that Eisentraut built for that country band that was recently posted here.
The lugs look identical...

Coincidentally, I'd attended a reading by Andrew a few years ago in Marin. Andrew has since moved back to his native England, so that Oakland-born bike will be making a trans-atlantic trip in the near future! Of course, I'm back on the hunt for a '70s Eisentraut A frame!

The lugs are very similar, but a even a little more intricate on this example, and the paint job must have been quite impressive originally. But, there have been some significant developments! A fellow CR lister/friend that is friends with Albert contacted him, and he immediately remembered that he built it for another of their mutual acquaintances, cyclling historian/author Andrew Ritchie, from whom it was stolen in Berkeley back in around 1978. The CR list member contacted Andrew, who was eager to have it back. I am happy to oblige, as it's the right thing to do.

Might be higher than folks wish to pay but not bad shape for someone who wants one. Of course the rusty chain suggests that maybe not ready to ride and perhaps the buyer might point that issue out?
