San Diego 2hrs ago look very nice, excepting the chain wrapped around the top tube
1
980s Peugeot Bike - $100 (Rancho Penasquitos)
https://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/...288896400.html
per ad:
This was my Dad's bike, bought back in the early-to-mid 1980s.
Pretty sure the frame is aluminum. It's got down-frame shifters.
Size is roughly 27" I think. I'm 6'2" and the bike is reasonably comfortable for me (though it's been configured for racing so took a little getting used to the posture... I've made some adjustments since to make it less awkward, but you might want to lower the seat and raise the handlebars a little more).
The bike is not currently in working condition, but could be got there pretty easily. It needs a new chain, and the tires are flat (though they may just need to be pumped up, rather than replaced).
I've tried to find a good reference online for what a bike like this ought to cost, but Peugots from the same era are listed at everywhere from two hundred to several thousand dollars, so I'm making my best guess here. Make me an offer.

It is. There's a few threads on here about them. One was pretty lively a couple (few?) years ago, I might've participated. Definitely remember it. Weird choice of lugs etc considering the tubing.
Makes you wonder though, how many may've gotten repainted/de-badged and sold as something better

RBB Cycles - Chicago - $250
This bike from RRB Cycles caught my eye. I had to read up on the builder, Ron Boi, but it sounds like he and his recently closed shop on the north side of Chicago were well known to quite a few forum members.
Not the greatest photos, but it seems that these frames are well regarded. It's the right size, and probably a fair price. I briefly thought about a road trip today, but it's a bit too far.

Confused by this one. 2 hour old listing
Appears to be a bike shop/bike repair but lists name as MIATA not MIYATA and price is $60 which should be very very low. Might be worth a call if you're in Chicago

MIATA 712

The braze-ons for center-pulls are cool. Decals are too faded for me to make out. The ad is a real mess though. "Trek swinn and rock hopper style bikes"
EDIT: probably a mid 70's Centurion Pro Tour

I never should have sold mine...
That is an odd conglomeration. I would buy that in a second if in Kansas. Loved my Randonneur.
