Ok, tonight I drank some bourbon and yet, I recognize this as a deal.
So far it was $300, then $200, then $150 and now $100. It's listed under Mountain bikes so might explain how it just dropped $100 and not been bought. Plus, Palmyra ME is way and gone out there but only 30 miles to Bangor.

The PX10 series are probably Peugeot's most famous models and classic collectables. The PX10s were competitors to the Raleigh Professionals and the finest Italian bikes of the day. The 1980 Peugeot PXN10E "Super Competition" was the PX10 highest performance bike in the 1980 catalog.
The frame and forks are double butted Reynolds 531 steel. The bike is 58cm measured center of crank to center of top tube and called a 60" by peugeot measured center of crank to top of the seat tube. The bike was built with the finest and most innovative French parts. The rims are 700c Mavice red, green and gold labeled "E type" that were the first high performance clincher rims to perform equal to sew-up rims later copied by Rigida and Super Champion; the hubs are Maillard 700 Professional "Team Issue"; the headset and crankset, model 106, are Stronglight; the bars and stem are ATAV with the engraved Philip Guidons Franco-Italai bars, Spidel side-pull brakes that look like jewelry, Spidel drilled brake levers and Simplex seatpost, and Peugeot badged Simplex SX410TSP rear and SJA 105 front derailleurs. It has the simple Nervex lugs. The forks have chrome socks and crown. The paint has the chips of a used bike but presentable. The saddle is a Brooks Professional as the only known non-original part. The stand over height is 33". It is an affordable collectable historic bike or just a great road bike to ride. The bike has just been serviced and is ready to ride for another 40 years.

Vintage Trek 660 road bike, 14 speed (2x7), made in USA, 4130 chromoly double butted True Temper steel, purchased from and restored/refurbished by Bikes Not Bombs shop, down tube shifters, with Ultegra Shimano 600 components, including 600 front/rear derailleurs, crankset and brakes, also with in-line brakes incl. on dropbars, Mastrix rims. Vetta Italian racing saddle. Will include for free day-glo Issi pedals (Shimano). I am 5’9” and the size suits me well. See picture for stand over height. Very good, clean condition, with some minor pain scratches etc., consistent with age of frame. A local pick-up and cash sale only.
A hate to part with this beautiful bike, but I need to downsize.

By the way - I came across this using the word "stuck" as a search term to see if there were any hidden gems today...
Rock Lobster w/ Action-Tec ProShock - $3,250 (dublin / pleasanton / livermore)

By the way - I came across this using the word "stuck" as a search term to see if there were any hidden gems today...
A custom steel Rock Lobster with integrated Action-Tec ProShock, the only bike of its kind fabricated by Paul using steel tubes. That was a $1000 fork bitd. I've owned it nearly 16 years and am the 2nd owner. And it's spent its life riding Santa Cruz single track, as it was designed to do.
I don't have many photos of the bike any longer, but included is one with Jacquie P.'s foot on the down tube while posing in this group shot at China Camp a number of years ago.
Here's the account of its provenance from the friend I got it from in 2005.
============================================
It has been quite a few years so my memory is a bit thin, but I recall the frame was built in 1998. The tubes were all sourced from a single supplier in Sacramento that was located next to the Otis Guy shop, as I recall. I think they were called Nova, and they shipped the tubes directly to Paul Sadoff at Rock Lobster for the fabrication of the frame. The front triangle is an extra light Dedacciai tube set, and at the time it was reported to be the only set in the country, while the rear is comprised of Ritchey WCS as are the dropouts. The frame is “Action Tec red”, primarily because the Action Tec fork was already that color and it was done to match.
The fork came from ”Lambo Mark” in Danville, CA. In the early 90’s he was the Mtn Cycle rep for NorCal and the fork was a sample used at Interbike in 94/95. At the time Mtn Cycle frames all required forks with 1.25” steerers and coincidentally provided the correct head tube length for the threaded/threadless setup of the fork. But the fork was never installed or ridden on a Mtn Cycle, or any bike, and was only used for display at shows. I suspect that the uniqueness of the 1.25” steerer spec shared between fork and Mtn Cycle may be why Lambo Mark ended up with it, as he was not the Action Tec rep, nor was anyone at the time. I got the fork by trading a new Manitou fork to him for use on his child’s bike.
Both Paul and Mike Ahrens (later of Ahrens Design, but at that time an engineering student) collaborated on the frame design and geometry, while Paul fabricated it. While this was in process, the fork was sent to Action Tec to be refreshed with the latest 90s updates. And as alluded to earlier, one of the issues with the Action Tec fork is the size of the head tube required to house it. At the time there was only one person I knew who had the necessary Chris King tools required to face a head tube of that size – Chris Kelly of Kelly Bikes in Oakland. It was a bit of an ordeal getting it done, frankly, and cost $100 for the 5-minute job, but I was stuck and left with few options at the time.
The Chris King headset is the same vintage as the fork and has always been with that fork. All the Moots ti bits were sourced straight from Moots, and the handlebars are one of the very first sets of ti risers they ever manufactured. The BB is a Phil Wood ti model that I picked up directly from Phil in San Jose. I was good friends with the rep from RaceFace so he went into the display cases in the lobby of RF in Canada and took the mismatched set of (Harlequin) cranks from there. They were never even packaged for sale. The WCS wheel set came directly from Ritchey, having gone across the bay and hand-picking those myself, as well as the original 2x9 setup they used to make (shifters + 2x chain rings + 9th cog).

(Might help know how to adjust rod brakes....) I can't see if it's a Brooks with the tag fallen off or not
Vintage RALEIGH bicycle made in 1976 Nottingham England.
Completely rebuilt with new leather seat and 3 speed shift mechanism.
Only reason I’m selling is because I’m 6’3 and it’s just too small for me.
I would guess it would be fine for an average height guy or gal.
Price is firm; it’s less than what I have put in it....

Vintage schwinn Ontare sunset colorway bike. Super rare and sought after frame. I’ve got too many projects right now so this one has to go. The crankset seems to be bent and I’d suggest replacement rings. $150
