Best, Ben

Can't help it Covid maketh me bored!
Also I check every day for tool deals as I need some tools. Unfortunately shipping is psycho with the border closed so I have to be very careful what I want, though I did see and buy a Brooks Pro for $90 shipped to me for my son, a carved B17 my winter bike for $45 Canadian and a Exero Lite wheelset for $50 with new tires thrown in locally so there still are deals to be had.....

Really? I've read of issues with the forks and BB's of the early builds. How many failed at what you call the "crimping?" Unless thoroughly annealed, doesn't every bike with downtube shifter braze-ons have a stress point increasing the probability of failure there?
This one is the 2,169th. Mine is the 2,161st. As far as I know Teledyne produced fewer than 2500. I've read most issues were resolved by the end of the production run. Mine doesn't have a crack. This one doesn't appear to be cracked. However, the price is high. They can be had for much less, no doubt because baseless rumours swirl about them.
They are a cool and different bike.

Street bike - $75

Seller doesn't give much information. I'm guessing it's a Competition MKII judging from the TA Specialites triple-arm cranks and clamp-on shifters but I could be wrong. One can barely make out the remnants of the Reynolds 531 decal on the fork. Wish I could buy it, but it's way too tall for me.

Here's a weird one. Never heard of the brand but it looks like junk and I doubt they had cotterless cranks in 60's so either it's 70's/80's or someone changed the cranks. Posting because of the front shifter. I thought these were from the way-back days?
Kalispell Montana
Tahquitz ten speed bicycle - $60 (kalispell)
Vintage ten speed bicycle with features as shown. John Deere green and rebranded as Tahquitz. Unusual gear shifter placement as shown. Bicycle most likely from the early sixties. Fresh cables/housings/tires/handlebar wrap. Decent bicycle for getting around town or ???.

Way too nice a frame for those parts.
https://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/bi...296778972.html
Mid 90s Colnago Master. 53cm with Tange Superlight crimped steel tubing. 8speed Campagnolo Avanti groupset. There are two areas of imperfections and both are in pictures. There is a scratch on the seat tube in the blue paint and also some scratches along the top tube. Otherwise, the frame is in beautiful condition - the chrome lugs, fork, and chainstays shine bright as new. The bar tape is new - I wrapped it myself after removing the yellow/blue camo that was on it before. The bike is just a bit on the small side for me.

Colnago Master 53cm - $1,300 (Needham)

1960 or 1961 Schwinn Varsity. the Conti never came with that flat blade fork. The conti went from the knuckle crown fork on the uprights to a tubular fork with partial or full chrome for the dropped bar versions. Repainted the weird green paint. Typing from the middle of the great corn desert, that isn't John Deere green. Restored could be worth $750+ but that could cost even more. The first year of the Varsity with dropped bars was an 8 speed. 4 gears on the freewheel.

This eBay auction for SunTour Superbe brakes caught my eye because it comes with NOS hoods. I already have a set (on my Griffon) so I won't be bidding...

This is interesting though you have to review all that's been done. Think seller means 700c but could be 26's. Would've been better to go to cantilevers before painting and owner did cheap out on the brakes chosen anyway. Lots of room on that rear for a larger cluster. I think I see $200, especially in the covid pricing world
Utility Road Bike - $225
https://tippecanoe.craigslist.org/bi...297343730.html
This is a 60 cm road bike with a light-weight steel frame that was painted by the motorcycle shop in Battle Ground. The wheels are handmade by Virtuous Cycles and the tires are Schwalbe Marathons. This frame initially held 27 in wheels, but I switched to 26 in to give wider tires as this bike was used to ride to work and daily tasks. There are lots of braze-ons (some were added by John Cherry) to help make this a great utility bike. The drive train consists of Shimano bar end shifters and Shimano derailleurs. The rear cassette is a Shimano 8 speed HG51 (I think it is 11-28T) with an Origin 8 bottom bracket and 50-34T cog set.
