condition: excellent
make / manufacturer: James Pickering
size / dimensions: 62 x 57 center to center
James Pickering was a British builder who built frames in the 1970s out of Tucson Arizona. You will not find another one like it. Look at the pictures and look at the workmanship. I am not anxious to sell it so I will ignore lowball offers. If the ad is up I still have it. This was a top level racing frame, operate angles, short wheelbase, meant to go fast.
Reynolds 531 throughout
Campagnolo vertical dropouts (very rare)
extensive reinforcements for stiffness
English threading
62 x 57
designed for 700 cm wheels (shown as an illustration but not included in the sale)
designed for standard reach brakes of the 1970s but will I believe will accommodate modern short reach breaks (shown as an illustration but not included in the sale)
62 cm Pickering custom frame - $425 (Chevy Chase)

Chatanooga - Cannondale ST600 needs work and seller says it's sat awhile, wonder about stem and seat post being tight??
Vintage Cannondale Road Bike - $200 (Ooltewah)
https://chattanooga.craigslist.org/b...298717870.html
Selling a vintage men's 1987 Cannondale ST600 Road Bike. This bike was made in the USA and has an all aluminum frame and forks. Wheel size is 27", frame size is 23", and the color is slate. It has the original Shimano 600 hubs, brakes, and headset. Original Shimano Deore front and rear deraillers. Bike is in good condition, but has not been ridden in the last 20 years. Needs some adjustments to the derailler and brake cables. My father bought this bike new in 1987.

Schwinn Super LeTour 12.2 - $80 (West Salem)
https://salem.craigslist.org/bop/d/s...299570713.html
I don’t want to sell this, but a new bike has landed in the garage and my wife says something has to go. This is a 1978 Schwinn Super LeTour 12.2. Made for three years for Schwinn by Panasonic - beautiful Japanese lugged steel with a reputation for a butter smooth riding experience. Obviously it’s a project - the bottom bracket and headset will likely need maintenance, but the cables and drivetrain seem to be in good shape. Check out that Suntour Alpha hardware and bar-end shifters. This would make a super tourer, bike packer, or even gravel grinder - if you convert to 700c tires, it should take wider tires and the Diacompe brakes have the reach for an easy switch.
It needs wheels. I will include the set of 27s that it came with, but there’s a missing spoke on the back wheel. For an extra $20, I’ll throw in a nice straight pair of 700s with a six-speed cassette. It needs a seat replacement, but that’s a highly personal choice. I have the Avocet that it came with and you’re welcome to it.

Not me but that is a nice bike , I have never owned a LeTour in fact I have only owned one Schwinn an 87 Circuit which ended up being just a tad too tall for my comfort . but I have thought about a LeTrour once or twice but I have never went and bought one . I really want a Voyager at some point....
