Vintage Trek Elance Tall 24” 12 speed road bike For riders 6 foot - $75 (Somerville-Union Sq.-Near Market Basket)

Vintage Trek Road bike project. This is perfect for somebody tall With a 34 inch inseam

• This is a project bike it is complete however it has a stuck seat post
• It’s perfect if it works for your height or you can get it on stock, otherwise it will be for parts

ALL PROCEEDS FROM THIS SALE WILL GO TO purchasing equipment and fixtures at a local Boston area High School I work at. They have a “Build a Bike” program in which students pick a donated bike, take it apart and rebuild the entire bike. They receive the completed bike at the end of the term. Currently all the bike repair stands are in serious need of repair, the truing stand has a broken axle width adjuster handle and many of the stations are missing tools and storage of parts, consist of banged up tupaware containers. My goal, with your help, is too transform this classroom into a space that resembles actual bike shop..

Please note: not all my listings will benefit the high school. I have set aside some of my parts and bikes that have been given from friends and neighbors for this cause. (This particular listing does benefit the school as stated above.)

Poorly maintained but it is from a good maker and it's $100 with 105 group. Seat even survived. Looks like a full cleaning and probably rebuild but cheap enough58 cm Kuwahara Gators Road Bike - $100 (Irvine) need to let go of my road bike that I gave some maintenance and upgrades a month ago. It is 58 or 60 cm, I'm 6'1" and that's my saddle height. Comes with a Sella Italia Anatomic seat, Shimano 105 groupset (14 gears), and downtube shifters. It runs smooth and wheels are mainly true. Chromoly frame, just needs a little dusting to go on a great summer ride!

Upgrades:

-New Chain

-New Pedals
-New brake pads

If the ad is up it is available, I'm available in the weekends for showings. Can throw in a bike rack as well if interested. obo

Seller claims this is a '73 Raleigh Competition GS. Might be worth investigating, but I thought the GS did not appear until the mid-'80s. Can't tell if it's been drewed during fixification.

Wow, I am seriously considering this. I'd really the truing stand and dishing tool. I'm in Philadelphia so would be like a 2 hour drive down for me. Anyone else here bid on this already? Maybe we can divvy this up without bidding against each other.

i think Competition became the Comp GS in the mid-70s when they turned their back on Huret and went with Campy and the 3-arm crank. Dropouts should tell the story, I would think

When you enlarge the image in the ad, the rear dropout is clearly visible.

Large Motobecane Grand Jubilee on Kansas City CL for $300. The bike comes with a good sized stash of spare parts. I can't facilitate directly, but my son lives in KC (though doesn't have a car). He might (or might not) be able to help facilitate.
