Trek 21 Speed Bicycle - $190

Trek road bike, 21 speed
54cm frame ideal for a rider between 5'7" and 5'10"
Brand new shift levers, brakes, and derailleur. No rust anywhere! (see photos!)

Bike was nearly unused by my roomate who decided to refresh everything, but moved anyways and left it behind. The price is slightly higher than some other bikes on craigslist, but it's in immaculate condition.

This one has been for sale locally for quite some time.

On the low end of my size range and has some nice bits, but holds no real interest to me.

wrt tubing -

suspect the highest it could be is Durifort or possibly three-tube 531 plain guage

reason this from stamped ends and welded crown

vendor's tubing speculation entertaining

always fun to read the embellishments and "i hope its true" text from sellers

not familiar with Urago models of this time

have owned three examples of marque but all earlier than this...

---

'71 was first year this model of Prestige shift lever employed

'72 was last year for 49D chainset with hex head c/w bolts

hence the date bracketing

1989 Casati road bike, 55, Campy 10 speed - $1,050 (West Tisbury)

Nice red and chrome Casati, vintage Italian steel. Rides and handles beautifully. Columbus TSX tubing. 1989 year of manufacture. Roughly 55 square, maybe a coupla mm shorter on the TT. HT is 13.4 cm, standover is 81 cm. Angles about 73 HTA and 74 STA. Wearing Vittoria Corsa G+ 28mm tires. Record HS, FD, and 172.5mm crankset with 50-39 TA chainrings. Chorus shifters, calipers, and RD. Veloce 13-29 10 speed cassette. Campy Proton wheels. Soma highway bars and Sutro stem. Thomson seatpost. Does not include saddle, pedals, cages, etc.
Paint and chrome and decals are good, with the caveat that there are a number of crudely touched up spots. If you're looking for NOS this ain't it. Frame is straight with no dings. I've included pix of the worst spots, can email more to serious inquiries.

Tall Schwinn (maybe a Super Sport?) on Chicago CL:

https://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/b...315835250.html

I'm not sure if it's overpriced at $600, but it does have some interesting components, Campy Rally rear derailleur, Avocet triple crank, high flange Dura-Ace hubs.
