If you can replace an RD.......
Besides, with 3 on the front you've got 9 and who needs more than 9 anyway?

Giant Kronos - $60 (Bothell)20+years old. Still rolls great. Rear derailed may need replacing. I can’t figure it out. Shifts into 3 gears. Worth fixing! I am moving or 8 would keep and fix.

Genuine DeRosa?
Seller claims the sticker were removed for a restoration. $100 with Campy Record

These are the best images I have right now, will be looking at it tonight. Thoughts?

daverupIt's probably not the RD. The brighter pawls stuck in old grease are more likely.
Wouldn't care if it was the RD needing to be replaced, still nice bike for that money - but I agree most probably it's a minor issue
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
TimbyMaTombo $5 says that seatpost is stuck, saying as the voice of bitter experience. It's probably why it's cheap. jdawginsc is correct, that's a great price for parts, even if the bike is a fraud.

Roger MI am up to 6 speedsnow after flushing with WD40 and compressed air for five minutes. Getting there...
Glad it worked out. Looked like great bike at the price and worse case, lots of very good parts.
Anyway great score.

Small tourer posing as a SS. Rough shape but the bones are there. Seller might have all of the stripped parts.

I have a really neat 1980s Miyata Six Ten. Derailleur was damaged, so it’s been set up as a single speed with bull bars and a front brake. Saddle is a take off from a newer Giant mountain bike. It has a nice luggage rack.
Certainly not a mint bike, but it does everything it’s supposed to with a funky, urban look.
120 obo. Message me for any questions!

Even when not on my bikes, I've been posting photos like this in the "Shop Stickers" thread. I think it's really weird when sellers posts these photos in their ads but, hey, more material for us.

The sticker is fading and has some nicks, but the phone # is still somewhat legible. I will post it in that thread. After taking a look at my bikes, I have 3 or 4 that have stickers I can add to that thread.
I also have a 72 Condor that I bought from a guy who lives close to the Carpenter Center. He bought it from their store when he was working in London. He sent it back to them in the mid 80s to have the frame respaced and some bosses added along with a repaint. No shop sticker, though. It's a 58 frame. I think that's close to your size. If you haven't ridden a Condor and want to, I might be able to drop it off with you for a week or two. MTT will start back up in June. I will be on your side of town on Saturdays up until the marathon.

Here is a question for the thread/forum.
So, the blue De Rosa above is my size and around 10 minutes from me.
https://richmond.craigslist.org/bik/...320638384.html
About 10 minutes in the other direction is this Bottecchia Professional.
https://richmond.craigslist.org/bik/...316888644.html
Both are in somewhat rough shape and have their flaws. The Bottecchia has some rusty areas. Both are just riders at this point. I've never had an Italian bike. Given their prices and conditions which bike is the better deal?

Thanks. It didn't sell on the seller's last attempt. It stayed up for a whil as I remember. He/she might be more motivated this time around. I'll keep an eye on the Bottecchia as well. With the rusty areas it has, It might be had for cheap.

This being BF, the correct anwser is buy the De Rosa, turn around and drive 20 minutes and buy the Bottecchia (at a deal, of course).
