The bars looked tweaked and that rear dropout is spread on the Bottechia.

I don't see any real problems with the De Rosa with the pictures provided. No need to look at it unless I'm really serious about buying it. The rust on the Bottecchia could be problematic. For the sake of the forum(of course) I need to look at it in person. Looking at the map, it's only about a mile from my place of business, if that. The rust on the DT is not clear enough in the pictures. I'll contact the seller and take a look then get back to the thread.

Just to be clear here, I don't have serious interest in the De Rosa at this time. If others are interested, I can facilitate. Some of the other forum members can vouch for me. I am trustworthy.

Not Athena brakes, so not "full Athena"...
But a stunning bike nonetheless.

https://boston.craigslist.org/bmw/bi...321153358.html

1985 61cm Basso GAP, very low use, Campy Athena groupset, ready 2 ride - $800 (Natick)

Less than 500 miles on this bike. Beautiful, full Athena groupset. Got it completely rebuilt in 1995, almost never rode it because it was "too nice".

22 pounds. 2 or 3 paint chips on the tubes, otherwise pristine.

Did a full overhaul 2 years ago, only rode it 30 miles since then.

All my stuff is larger than 58cm but thanks for the offer. And I'm not really in acquisition mode right now (uttered to the sound of laughter) and I'd only be interested in a touring bike/frame. I actually have a Condor, but not one of the English ones. This one is a Swiss 3-speed that I've posted elsewhere but here's another pic. You're welcome to stop by anyway.

Bianchi Celeste w/ Campagnolo
$400

80’s celeste Bianchi in great running shape. 53cm, good for someone 5'6"-5'10". Columbus steel, Campy drivetrain, Modolo brakes, Selle Turbo saddle in matching Celeste (very cool). A little bit of surface rust on the frame but nothing a little bit of work can’t clean up. I bought this as one to clean up and ride but haven’t had the time, so offering it to the next person to do! Gorgeous bike, feather light, and the tires are also in great shape. $400 obo

Regarding the De Rosa in Richmond, evidently the seller really wants to sell it locally. So, I will contact him, look at the bike and have some conversation. Then, we'll go from there.

Dang, the De Rosa got some stiff competition, unless it's not a Cinelli! I've got work commitments until late afternoon. Probably be gone by then to one of the vulture flippers. I'll let you people discuss it.

Based on the photos, I'm not seeing any firm evidence that it's actually a Cinelli. Buyer beware.

Yeah, ^ most likely it has a Cinelli BB shell and no other branding so the seller says "it's a Cinelli!" I cannot see any frame details to even guess but good chance it's Italian. Plenty of low-res pix of the components...sigh...

Might be an '80s Paramount (Waterford) road frame. Looks similar to my '84 minus the rack braze-ons and mine has the Cinelli BB shell.

RE: Claude Butler

Is that a track bike with a flip-flop rear hub, rear-facing drop outs, a cantilever front brake, and padding on the top tube where the bars would strike it in a crash (as most track riders do)?
