I am selling my 1985 custom Peter Mooney (peter-mooney.com) road bike frameset purchased from Belmont Wheelworks. I used the frameset for amateur road racing until about 1990 when the driveside rear dropout cracked and was replace by Peter Mooney (see photos - the dropout was only painted with primer). The frame was never rebuilt after the repair, but has been stored in my basement since then. The British Racing Green (original color) frame is in good condition but does show slight nicks, etc from use. The frame tubing is Columbus SR and is built with steel lugs. This classic steel racing frame deserves to be built up and used.
The frame dimensions are:
head tube: 21 mm
top tube (level actual center-center): 58.5 mm
seat tube (top-center): 63 mm
chainstay: 42 mm
wheelbase: 99 mm (approximate since the frame is not built up)
English dimensions for bottom bracket, etc

Built for hydraulic disc brakes and mechanical shifting. This is for the frame/fork and Chris King headset. Standard BSA threaded bottom bracket, and spaced for 100/135mm quick release wheelset. Accepts racks and fenders. I ran 700cx37mm tires, great for both pavement and dirt roads.
There are a few very minor scratches in the paint. Rack mounts, inside chainstays, on the head tube, scratch on the left fork blade. Hard to even photograph, all pretty minor for an eight year old bike that has been ridden. Blue metalflake paint is lovely, the bike just sparkles. I'm 5'9", and imagine this bike fitting those in the 5'6"-5'10" range.

Hand built in Houston Texas, 1982. Lugged, 531 double butted Reynolds, 57cm, 126mm rear stay. Custom build with build sheet and specifics attached from the guy that made it. In great shape, no major dings/dents. Normal paint wear near the chain stays and a little on the tubes. Original campy headset, super smooth. Solid cantilever Shimano brakes with kool stop pads on them. Cool nitro front rack is included.

Easy to do fix-it project, or rebuild it with your favorite parts from your too big/small bike that needs a repaint. Nice riding bike. Will be a fantastic catch for the right person.
