Pretty clean mid-lineup Cannondale SM1000, ripe for your rigid single speed or drop bar conversion. (Suntour had grip shifters?)

Handmade Custom XL Tanaka Touring Bike - $850 (Denver - DU Area)Handmade Custom XL Tanaka Touring Bike
1980s Handmade Tanaka Touring Bike
Custom fillet brazed by Kimo Tanaka, a builder from San Francisco in the late 80’s-early 90’s. Frame is modeled after the Specialized Sequoia of the same period.
Bike is built with long reach brakes and 700c wheels with lots of tire clearance (currently running 33c tires). Also has braze ons to run fenders or racks front and rear.
Cool blue color, and frame is in excellent condition, with a couple very minor scuffs.
I picked this up from a local person in Denver who did a great job with the build. Highlights are:
- Full SRAM Rival 2 x 10 group in silver finish
- Hunt Sprint Aero Wide wheelset ($550 new alone)
- Mavic needle bearing headset
Bike is best suited for riders over 6’ tall. Frame dimensions are as follows:
Top tube 59cm ctc
Seat tube 62cm ctc, 64cm ctt
Head tube 19.5cm (not including headset)
Chainstays 42.5cm
Bike is dialed in and ready to ride. Asking $850 or best reasonable offer

This bike has been ridden less than 10 times for a total of 25 miles. - Why do I instinctively distrust this statement??. If it is true, the bike was banged around in the garage and , judging by the chain and a few bolts it will desperately need a rebuild.

Cheap and nice and also small (21 inch per seller)
Super fun and cool bike to ride. Steel frame bikes are so smooth. This is a steel butted frame which are very expensive now. Look it up. This would be a great road bike for a kid or smaller person. I am a road bike enthusiast and I bought it for my son when he was younger so he could ride with me. He has now outgrown it. Everything works great, shifts smooth. Probably worth a lot more than this, but whatever.

Might be on someone's list as well and $900 might be a good price
https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/bik...338708242.html
Bikes that bear the Serotta name belong to a long lineage of high-quality, American-made frames. The company was founded in 1972 by Ben Serotta and went on to provide frames for Olympians and Tour de France riders in the 1980s. As a relatively small-scale, artisan frame manufacturer, Serotta did some very interesting designs like this Saratoga. The bike was originally purchased from city cycle in SF for $3,500.

I was puzzled by it because it seems like a lower end Bianchi and logically made in Asia. I just got a Taiwanese Bianchi and it looks completely different than the above posted one. Mine is Hodaka made and has different forks, integral pump peg, etc. To my mind my forks look like Schwinn "unicrown" forks. Perhaps a different factory? Either way I'd say looks worth more than $50

There is a fine line between the Japanese/Taiwanese model years...I know there is some crossover, but it looks very much like a semi-sloping crown, and a twin-cousin to my 1982 Randonneur which was made in Japan, I think. Either way, they were heckuva good little frames (minus the recalled B forks). Not quite as cobalty color, but I love it.
I am going to guess either worst case scenario 1981-1983 Special, but maybe the Limited? I am going with a 1982 Special which is a nice little bike...
