this is an english built, 26" bike with a leather seat and i believe a three speed. the manufacturer is rudge wittworth. definately from the late 50's or early 60's, this bike is complete and in relatively good condition for its age. i will remove this ad immediately upon the sale.

Wrong forum for this. Besides, they are not all that great. I have a maroon one that I will keep for pics of my SR and an ratty, black one that came on my Team. Once, I thought they were comfy enough, but then I found Brooks and Fujita. If you want to meet up to try and test-ride one, I wouldn't mine some riding company and I like the Fox River Trail. Mine are not for sale/trade though.

Nice Fuji Newest frame, but too small for anyone that I know who is looking. I've spoken with the seller about another item that I was interested in and he was very quick and helpful. Velocals already has the decals on their website.

I should have posted this earlier, but the eBay reminder just came up. It's a Miyata 310, 1986-7-ish, looks clean, 52cm, near Detroit, at $125 presently, possibly a bargain for a local. Ends tonight 8/10, at about midnight.

Beech meant you should try in the ISO thread as well .. what style maroon Fujita are you looking for? There were two different shapes in the 80's

The one with a little kick up at the back but would settle for the other if it presented itself.

I'll check this evening, pretty sure they're not the ones with the kick up.

It sure is a beauty, but that price tag isn't. It also makes me wonder if I started my auction off high enough.

I think your price is just right.

This one has a lot of competition at that price.

I just watched a 35th Anniversario sell for about $1,800 in Mpls.

That bike was perfect, aside from two very small nicks on a seat cap.

It would take me one second to decide which one to buy at that price!

In addition, there is a spotless De Rosa Giro D' Italia available for $1,400 in Mpls.

He had it listed this spring, but no takers.

I met the guy yesterday on a ride, and I was shocked at the appearance of his bike.

It was unbelievable.

So yes, there are some De Rosas out there.

.....and this one may be priced high.

The market will decide these matters.

Great post...and so, so true...

Plus, that's his asking price. I'm sure he understands it will go lower. Maybe that's his way of chasing off the "will you accept $300" crowd.

Not to mention a pristine "Replica 57" that is languishing at $1700.

Tell me more about this De Rosa Giro D' Italia.......

Aaron, your De Rosa is priced right. I've been looking at Professional's in the $700 - $1000 range, some in better contidion than others. Yours should get an uplift because of all of the cool panto parts.

The fact is, for whatever reason - time of year, economy, whatever - these bikes seem to be moving REALLY slow right now. It's a good time to buy, not so much for selling.

Make it 4 cm smaller and it won't languish...I'll take it off your hands. Of course if it were 4cm smaller it wouldn't be available. That bike is absolutely amazing.

I can;t check at work...I saw that it was at 910 this morning. If this doesn;t break 1,100 I'd be very disappointed. I have a feeling I'm going to be very disappointed. I have a lousy auction end time and I'm wondering how much that's hurting me.

Crummy fork, mediocre components...way too much for that year. There is a large difference between various years of the Team. If it were an 85 and truly mint, it might be worth haggling a little, due to Superbe components. I'd never pay $550 for any vintage Team.

^ he is of course taking offers. he abruptly hung up when I insisted that he is advertising it for a $1 and therefore should sell it for a $1

anyway I did not realize you could put Raliegh and antique in the sentence and only charge $100

Raleigh 26" Super Grand Prix...all original...works well...could use new tubes / tires...10 speed with shifter levers located inside handlebars... This bike was never abused. I am the only owner. It has not been on the road (except for testing the running gear) for over 10 years. I originally bought this from a Raleigh dealer in Rockledge , PA in 1975. With a little TLC this would be a beautiful machine once again...there was nothing that could touch it!
