I know Benottos get no love but this seems a nicer one. Bad photos and more of the accessories than components. Shifter look to be Record but can't see what the other stuff is.

Vintage Lemond Tourmalet road bike. 58 size. Shimano RSX/105 components. 3x8 drivetrain. Reynolds 525 steel frame. Good working order, no dents/rust. The front shifter doesn’t always shift (would need replacing if keeping the triple up front). Not sure what year this bike is. Good restoration project, commuter or ultimate fixie project. Call/text with questions. First come, no “holding”, cash only. Brian 406- six seven one/7079

I know that happens but I can't help it. I have a separate email just for checking these weird ads. Sometimes you do find gems, but yes sometimes you meet the truly weird....

I feel as if the ad is legitimate. I have bought two bicycles now with nearly the same amount of information. All from older chaps who are not particular about their website usage and would much rather chat over the phone. There’s a phone number listed.

If anyone is interested, I would highly implore calling the phone number if email scams are a concern.

There’s definitely a gem listed in the advertisement.

On fence on posting this one. On one hand it does look tired with worn components but on other hand it should make a nice bike when built back up and at $200, should be a lot less than a 5000 usually sells for

Panasonic 4000 dx - $200

Own a piece of history with this panasonic 4000 dx 56cm. This is the 2nd from the top of the line outside of the team competitor bikes. Japanese tange 2 steel tubing (comparable to the reynolds 531 tubing of trek). Hand made, and original parts. I bought it as a touring project; however, due to an unexpected move, I need to liquidate my bike inventory and I need money for said move.

Back tire has a leak. Not sure if it's the tubing or the tire itself, but I have replacements for both included in the purchase.

Components are Shimano 105. This bike will last your forever, if you treat her right.

Not looking to make a profit, just trying to break even.

200$ obo.

Retro-Vintage Romic 12-speed - $350 (Milan)

Retro-Vintage Romic 12-speed Road Bicycle, w/ some Campagnolo components, 67 cm frame. $350 OBO
26 ˝ inch (67 cm) Romic frame; serial no. 1049462177. The original Reynolds 531 DB tubing decals were removed when the frame was shipped to California for repainting when I rebuilt the bike in 1983. Romic bicycles were built by the late Ray Gasiorowski, dba Romic Cycles, Houston, TX, from the mid-70's until 2003. It’s my understanding that the last 2 digits of Romic serial numbers indicate the year – so this frame was built it 1977, I guess. Check out the lug work – not the most ornate I’ve seen, but very nice.
Beneath 30 years of garage dust is a rare American classic. You just won’t find many of these high quality steel-frame bikes out there at any price. All components are in great shape (except brake lever hoods, handlebar tape and tires – they’re shot) and it needs a complete service job. But then this thing will ride like the wind again. Wind that smells like 1983. If you have a thing for vintage road bikes (and you’re tall) this could be the bike for you!
Campagnolo “Record” high flange hubs, 36 hole w/ Campy skewers.
Campagnolo headset.
Campagnolo down tube shifters.
Mavic G40 Module E 27 x 1-1/4” rims, dark anodized with Presta valves; Berg stainless steel spokes. The wheels are in excellent shape – perfectly true.
Shimano Dura-Ace 170mm 52/39 crank set.
Suntour Superbe levers and side-pull brakes (hoods are missing); pedals; front derailleur.
Suntour Mountech rear derailleur.
Specialized stem and bars.
SR Laprade fluted alloy seat post, single bolt design.
Cinelli Unicanitor “Brevettata” Italian leather saddle.
Blackburn water bottle cage.
Zefal HP air pump (Presta).
Serious inquires only. I can deliver to the metro area for a small fee ($40) or ship anywhere at your cost. Please email or text if you have any question, would like additional photos or need more measurements. Thank you! Bob 320 Two to Six Zero 1 3 One.

On the 10th of this month, philpeugeot reported a great deal on a Schwinn Le tour Luxe in SF ($40)!

vintage Schwinn LeTour X - $40 (sunset / parkside)

https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/bik...349263582.html

Very tall, cheap Schwinn Le Tour Luxe.

Yesterday it moved

https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/bik...350734624.html

Schwinn Le Tour Luxe for 5'10 to 6'2" - $199 (berkeley north / hills)A nice touring bike with Columbus Tenax double butted tubing. Triple front chainring. The frame has a short 57 cm toptube and a 62 cm seat tube making it a good choice if you want a more upright position. The longer seat tube means the handlebars are 2 inches higher vs a 57/57 frame. Rides well makes a good all round bike suitable for touring grocery, shopping, road riding and gravel or fire roads.

Univega Steel Touring bike - $150 (san carlos)

This bike would be good for short trips about town or longer tours. I used it to ride from Fort Brag to SF stopping 4 nights in State Park bike camps. It is a tripple chain ring with 6 sprockets in the cassette for 18 speeds.
