Vintage, high-end Motobecane Grand Record that many consider to be the one of the pinnacles of road bicycle design of the '70s. It was built with Reynolds 531 tubing and Nervex Professional lugs with beautiful detailing. It's in remarkable, highly collectable condition with Campy upgrades of the original brakes, hubs, bottom bracket, pedals and front derailleur.
I am the second owner. I replaced the tires with Rivendell Roll-y Pol-y's and replaced the pedals with Campagnolo period-correct pedals. I haven't ridden it, just admired it like a piece of art.
Included are a beautiful Silca Impero pump, TA water bottle cage and the TA crank extraction tool. This is a real time capsule of high-end 70's cycling.
Here is the info from the seller who sold it to me, in quotes:
"The original owner purchased it new in 1975 . The mileage is low since it was too big for her. It was given lots of TLC, has never been in an accident or damaged in any way. in 1980 it upgraded to clincher tires, rims, Nuovo Record hubs and brakes, and updated stem, handlebars and aero brake lever and then retired and stored indoors since the late 1980's.
Prior to my purchase it was given a complete tune up, the wheels trued and the bottom bracket, hubs, etc. were all serviced. The original catalyzed paint and clearcoat still looks new with the exception of some paint chips that have been touched up and a small area of paint that peeled away from the chrome on the inside of the right fork leg that was professionally re-sprayed and clear coated. Other than that and some deterioration of the Reynolds 531 decals, it is a beautiful bike in excellent condition with a wonderfully smooth ride."
Frame size: 53cm (21") c to c.
Stand over height: 78cm (31").
Color: Motobecane Metallic Silver w/black highlights and gold pin stripping around the lugs.
Frame: Reynolds 531, elegant Nervex lugs, Campagnolo drop-outs w/ adjusting screws.
Fork: Reynolds 531, Campagnolo drop-outs.
Headset: Stronglight.
Crankset: TA 170cm (42x52).
Bottom bracket: Capagnolo
Rear derailleur: Campagnolo Nuovo Record.
Front derailleur: Campagnolo C Record (first version). Added to improve shifting when it was updated with a new freewheel, clincher tires and rims.
Shift levers: Campagnolo Nuovo Record.
Brakes: Campagnolo Nuovo Record.
Brake Levers: Diacompe aero w/ cables internally routed through the bars. They are of excellent quality and some of the best at that time.
Seatpost: SR (Campy knock-off).
Freewheel: (non-original) Regina CX-S 6 speed (14, 16, 18, 21, 24, 28).
Chain: Sedis gold.
Handlebars: 39cm Sakae Champion.
Stem: 70mm SR
Hubs front and rear: Campagnolo Nuovo Record high flange 36 hole.
Rims: Mavic alloy clincher rims, stainless steel spokes 3x, alloy nipples.
Tires: Rivendell
Pedals: Campagnolo (model unknown) with Christophe toe clips and nylon straps
Saddle: Terry Lightweight.
Frame pump: Silca Impero with Silca head.
Water bottle cage: TA
Tools: TA crank remover
Asking $690. Payment via cash, PayPal F&F or Venmo are all OK.

There's always this sweet Alex Singer for a mere $890 more (well, plus $200 shipping from France). If it were my size, I'd seriously consider it!

This is what the real estate folk call a "motivated seller". Not a spectacular bike, nor a spectacular deal but price is dropping so maybe seller wants to sell?
** Seller is a flipper with a lot of bikes so price adjustments might be done to attract attention.

ALUMINUM SCHWINN 684 RACER
$175 was $300

Listed a week ago in Kansas City, KS
Seller also has a nice condition Letour for $100 with what he claims is a "27 inch or 59cm frame", with a Sachs Huret rival derailleur set and , "Sacks Huret strong flight crank". It might well be a 27 in frame

vintage 1989 Cannondale black lightning 3.0 series aluminum
$300

Vintage Cannondale black lightning road bike from 1989. Gatorskin tires (toughest tires for the road!). Shimano 600 transmission. Good condition. I lost the key to the lock you see on the picture, so you'd need to cut it off.
